“Best hotel at Disney”
The convenience to price factor may not be worth it for most people, but for us with two small children, it certainly makes disney a lot more bearable. Not having to walk 30 minutes before getting to the park every morning is so nice. Being able to come back into the hotel for naps a few steps from park entrance is nice. This was the second stay for us at the DGC and still, can't wait to go back. Upon checkin and seeing it was our oldests' birthday, the guy behind the counter goes and gets signed photos of princesses and characters for her. Balloons and pins and all that good stuff. I know, small touch, but for the little one, amazing experience to start the trip. It's more expensive than the Disney hotel or PPier, but totally worth while. Disney definitely has it right on the mark with the DGC. Highly recommended hotel for people with small kids that need their afternoon naps, and would want to go back to the parks after the sun goes down. ULTRA convenient.
“Family of 6 on a budget”
We are a large family who wanted the convenience of a clean and close hotel near Disneyland. This is our third year traveling from San Diego to Anaheim for the Thanksgiving weekend, and our first time staying at the Grand. When we tried to book online, it kept saying that we exceeded the room max. So i just booked for 4. We managed to squeeze in to a standard room with a queen and a set of bunk beds. Lucky for us, our youngest is an infant in a pack n play, and the bunk bed pulled out a trundle (so it actually slept 3). The top bunk rattled at night, when my 6 year old rolled around. I put paper in the latch to stop the rattle on the second night. The queen bed was comfy, the room was clean, as was the entire hotel. The rooms are small, and the Grand is the most expensive hotel in the area. Pool area was nice, the kids would love to go back just to swim, but for just less than $1,000 for 2 nights, we'll probably be staying at a neighboring hotel next year, and splurging more on fun things while in Disneyland! We'll definitely visit for the ambiance and a hot cocoa by the fire.
“Best location for both theme parks”
Wonderful location for both Disneyland and the adventure parks.
“Would stay there again”
Everyone was so helpful. My mom is handicap and the hotel helped with all the accomodations we needed to make our stay great.
“This hotel makes your Disneyland experience perfect!”
Love this hotel every time we stay...the easy valet parking makes you feel like a VIP. The easy access to California Disney makes it a perfect local. The food and service the BEST! You step in the hotel and you feel like you are truly staying in a 'Magic Kingdom' Can't wait to go back!
“A very classy Hotel”
The unique architecture and decor is so classic old northern California; like going back in time with it's elegant Craftsman style. The rooms are comfortable and quiet with cozy beds, European style. I especially appreciate the lovely embroidered damask bed linens. I think Walt Disney would be proud. Service was friendly and accommodating.
“The only place we'll stay at Disneyland”
While its not perfect, the Grand is the only place ill stay close to disneyland. This was our 4th stay. The hotel is clean, the service friendly and the overall qulity is very good. Breakfact at storytellers cafe is nice, but lunch and dinner are a bit less so. The convenience to the park is unparalleled. We are looking forward to our next stay already!
“Great place to stay. Makes the whole Disney experience even better.”
Beautiful hotel and super convenient.
“Love this hotel”
I take my family here every halloween and we always really enjoy our stay. The location is perfect and we all enjoy the style and decor of the hotel.
“The Grand”
Had a very nice stay. Not used to turn downs (opening our bag seemed out of the ordinary).
