HolidayPosted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: The team and the location. Very clean.
Cons: Can't think of anything
My daughter and I went to Europe then on our return flight from London we stopped off for 5 days. The Meet and greet at the hotel was great and checkin was a breeze after a long day and flight. The location was great, the room was great had what we needed. A stepping stone to Disney Town Centre and of course the Parks. The team around the complex were very friendly and helpful. I would suggest this hotel to all our friends and family and we will stay here again. Kind regards

Perfect Place for a Disney Getaway!Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: The convenience of being able to walk everywhere was awesome.
Cons: Just the low flow toilets!
Location: Adjacent to Downtown Disney and Disney's California Adventure and a short jaunt from Disneyland. Things to do? Disney, Disney, Disney!
Overall, the Grand Californian was a great place to stay at! We had a room overlooking Dowtown Disney and was a short walk to Disneyland and an even shorter trip to California Adventure (the entrance to the park was about 20 ft from our hotel elevator). It comes with all the Magic Hour perks and the staff was amazing. There are numerous great food options between the hotel and Downtown Disney, but be prepared for the prices (it's a little spendy). About the only minor issue we had was with the low-flow toilets. We had four in our room (2 adults, 2 kids), so you can imagine the amount of flushing and re-flushing we had to do. Thanks Grand Californian! We had a great time and would recommend this place to all our friends & family!

Not as grand as expectedPosted Apr 9, 2015
Definitely not worth the money. Standard hotel room, swimming pools, and restaurants, nothing fancy. Staff great and friendly, but doesnt out weigh the cost. We have two young children, didn't have bunk beds available , so they had to share queen bed. Character breakfast only had dale, and 2 bear unknown characters, on one else . Only paying for Disneyland name experience.

Proximity to the park is great. Wifi useless!!!Posted Apr 9, 2015
I'll make it short and direct. Room is basic. Wifi, useless. Food from Bar mediocre. Proximity to the park and access excellent.

Great experience for the kidsPosted Apr 8, 2015
Great experience, great hotel in almost every way. Steep price, but probably worth it for most families. With a hotel entrance to DCA, at least you don't have to walk far to get to the park. Don't have to rent a car, or pay for parking.

Great location, helpful staff and nice facilitiesPosted Apr 4, 2015
We visited here recently, my daughter and me. The staff was helpful and made our stay unfirgettable. The room was perfect and it was wonderful to enjoy the magic hours each day before the parks were inundated with annual pass holders. I'd highly recommend it.

Hmmm, not greatPosted Apr 2, 2015
My family spent 3 nights at Disney over spring break. Booked the first two at Disneyland hotel which was awesome and had thought we'd splurge on our last night and move over to the Grand Californian. What a disappointment! Rooms were small and nothing special. The courtyard view overlooked the smoking terrace and backed up to monorail. One of the main pools was under construction which was not communicated in advance! (What?!?) We are from pacific NW and the lodge theme, while beautiful, felt dark and out of place in sunny SoCal. No outside eating or drinking spots and the fir trees rather than Palm trees just didn't feel like vacation. When you walk in from downtown Disney you walk through the conference area so you get a view of biz mtgs which is kind of a drag and again feels out of place. For 500+ per night I really was hoping to be blown away but instead was bummed about the pool construction and mediocre room and left feeling like I wasted good money. This is definitely a quality hotel, less disnefied if that is your thing and is conveniently located to the park. But unless they offer some incentive and a pool view room (when not under construction) I won't be back.
