Amazing location. Gorgeus lobby. The best customer service. Fun pool with reliable lifeguards. Very expensive for a standard hotel room.

Convenient to CA Adventure

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: We have stayed here for many years. Fixtures (spinning shower spray no longer spin) are showing use (wear) and should be updated.
Location: Connected to Downtown Disney and CA Adventure Park
Good early-Halloween treat. Best service of all the Disney (Anaheim) on-site properties by far.

Not worth the money

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Pool, patios overlooking the park.
Cons: Customer service.
Location: Proximity to California Adventure was great.
The Grand Californian is a beautiful hotel, and the proximity to the park is unbeatable. However, for the amount of money you spend per night, I would have thought the service would have been better. Valet started driving my car with the doors still open and almost damaged it, took hours to get a room, and when I got up to it, my key cards wouldn't work. Had those replaced and finally got in. Room was nice, but no better than a nice Doubletree, Hilton or Hyatt. Access to California Adventure was convenient, but the Magic Morning hours were not as useful as I hoped, as only a couple of lands were even open early (Fantasy land and Tomorrowland). It was nice, but not a magical Disney experience, and no better than other nice hotels for several times the price. I'm glad we stayed here once to say we did, but we won't be staying here again.

service nightmare

Posted Oct 12, 2014
Poor service, over crowded, thin walls between rooms, didn't get a room until 4:15pm the day of our stay. Bell service took 35 minutes to deliver our bags, room service provided us with our meal that was over cooked and cold 45 minutes after ordering. Totally disappointed!!!! Mr. Lewis in bell services was absolutely the worst service person ever.

Visiting Disneyland? This is the place to stay.

Posted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: Convenience to the park.
Cons: Lower your room rates.
Expensive but well worth it as you can walk right into the park. It's too bad the monorail doesn't stop at this hotel. That would have been fun. The bar downstairs is perfect for relaxing and having a light snack (be sure to try the quesadilla with guacamole).

Wonderful Hotel

Posted Oct 8, 2014
After wanting to stay here for awhile, we finally tried it. Hotel is beautiful, and at times made me forget that I was in Anaheim. Rooms are a little small, but clean. I would expect more for the price. Service was top notch.
