Not the greatest experience

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Guests are run through the system here like a factory. I guess I expected more from a Disney hotel. This hotel could upgrade the carpets in the hallways which are looking over-run and worn. One of their main restaurants was closed (Napa) , but to tell you the truth the restaurants in Disney Town were better anyways. I get the impression that they take the customers for granted because of the Disney name. The next time I'll go to Universal.

No Mercy for errors! Bad business

Posted Aug 16, 2014
I have stayed in the Disney hotels in the past and thought perhaps they would be considerate of my booking error that occurred thru Expedia. I booked the correct dates for my stay, however, the dates defaulted back to my original dates of which I didn't notice. I would have corrected the error had I seen it. I received no phone call from the hotel that I missed a reservation. I arrived today, and they would not give me credit me for the error, not even paetially. I lost $600 and now this loyal Dosneyland customer has list the magic along with the hotel charge and will never stay at their resort again. Not helpful or companionate!

Perfect Place to Really Enjoy Disneyland

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Loved the arts and crafts décor. I own some Harvey Ellis, by Stickley and many of the pieces reminded me of his work.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Perfect Location almost at the door to Disneyland. The lobby led right in to Downtown Disney which was perfect for shopping and dining.
very comfortable. We enjoyed the bedtime turn back service and little chocolate surprise.

The rooms were not that impressive for the price. Pool area was great but service at the pool was very slow. Location was amazing. The maid service was great and the turn down service nice. So expensive for what you would expect the rooms to look like but very convenient and the cast was pretty nice and available.

Everything cost money!

Posted Jul 20, 2014
You need to pay for everything. The hotel is decent. Room clean and staff were super nice. The environment is what we expected, Disney! We will go back again if the pricing is lower!

Ordinary hotel for the price of a Grand Luxe hotel

Posted Jul 19, 2014
We checked in nice hotel but very dark drab dècore. Rooms on the small side. When we checked-in we had only booked for one night but they told us it would be no problem to extend our stay. As it turned out, when we woke up the next morning my two-year-old son was vomiting all morning. I went down to reception to book us in for another night. I was told the hotel was booked out. They gave me a signed picture of Woody & Buzz light-year for my sick son. I was so stressed, my husband was at a business meeting 2 hours away and I was stranded with a sick 2 year-old & a very bored 4 year old. When I went online to try and find alternative accommodation I saw our room at the Grand Californian for sale for $200 more than we had paid for it. So, Disney turfed a sick child and his family out on the street for the sake of making more money!

dissapointimg hotel

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: It was close to the oarks
Cons: Knock it down and rebuild to a proper 4/5 star hotel
We regularly stay at grand floridean in disney florida and as their flag ship hotel never have had a problem This hotel is old and dirty . Food left on floor outside room for 2 days We booked concierge and found the food selection poor average was a choice if 3 sandwhiches a scone , even their staff commented how poor it was We had to buy breakfast cerials because the choice was only 3 cerials and none our children liked We feel totally ripped off by the experience
