Pros: The location is pretty good.
Location: Taco Surf about a mile north for the shrimp tacos. They are fabulous!
It was OK for the price. My view was of a cement "courtyard" area with picnic tables at my room level. I felt the need to keep the curtains closed all the time for privacy.

location is amazing ...

Posted Apr 24, 2015
Pros: location
Cons: update rooms / making sure workers do not take items from your car
Location: walking / jogging / beach
Customer service was good but the room was out dated (i understand they are remodeling), there was a complete black out Saturday evening and we received not apology for this, nor acknowledgment. On receiving my vehicle from valet on Sunday my cell phone holder was missing, fill out some paper work but have yet to hear from the hotel. Once again location is amazing.

Near railroad tracks, the jacuzzi was broken, and outside our window was the trash shoot from the construction

Nice location with beach access

Posted Apr 8, 2015
Nice location but hotel needs updating. Furniture is worn, pool is tiny. Not a place to go if you like spending time at the hotel. On the plus side the location is great with easy access to the beach.

Photos Are Deceptive

THe hotel looks great in the photos, but not in person. The Tresca Restaurant and Vivo Rooftop Lounge both have very limited menus, and lack ambiance. The Vivo Rooftop Lounge played loud club music and was not at all relaxing. The view of the beach is limited and also includes a view of busy PCH. Again, not very relaxing. We ended up eating in our room.

Nice, close to beach

The reservation was goofed up, and we had an extra room "booked", yet was charged again. The manager negotiated 1/2 off. Was just messed up, not sure who's fault it was. The location was such it was hard to get to. Parking was $22/ day! Hot tub was not working. Beach was very nice. Saw many dolphins and whales on boat ride.

Nice staff excellent location.

While the staff and location were perfect, the room was dated. The air conditioner was really loud and when we wanted to open the sliding glass door (with our partial ocean view) we were assaulted with smoke. Our room was just above the smoking area. Parking was safe and secure, and being so close to the beach and town was helpful!

Pros: The view was amazing, the location is awesome, the suite was gorgeous, the staff was super friendly, courteous & helpful & all for a great price.
Cons: Bathrobes in rooms
Location: Walking distance to Doheny beach & Dana Point Harbor & restaurants.
Originally, I had reserved a room at the Seaside Inn. From the moment we pulled in, I was like, this has to be a mistake. The office stunk. I thought maybe- just maybe the room is nice, so we checked it out. The room stunk, it was ghetto, I did not want to sleep in the bed, or even touch the comforter. So we checked out & called Expedia. Barbara was our savior. She answered the phone "how can I make you smile?" I was pleased with that, because I was unhappy with my room & I wanted a refund. A refund would have taken 2 weeks, or she could find me a different room. We paid an additional forty seven dollars for an Ocean view King Suite at the Doubletree. We were SO much happier! There were 2 rooms, which was great, because he stays up later than me, so he could watch tv in the other room. The view was amazing! There was patio furniture on the balcony, I spent a lot of time out there. I can't wait to come back & stay when we get married in August :-)
