Check your door

My room door didn't lock when closed. It has to be shut twice before the door would lock. Scary feature.

Worst hotel in Dana Point

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Cons: FRIENDLY staff! nenovation is badly needed!!!
Location: Marina is close, but you have to drive to access it.
I wasn't made aware of parking fees, access in and out of hotel very restricted and out of the way, room furniture was very old, smelly, uncomfortable, view was limited ocean view, room faced the gully set between two freeways so we never opened the drapes or sat on the patio. I was locked out once and the staff didn't even apologize. This is a hotel that I will never recommend but share with others that a park bench may be a better choice!

Hotel close to the beach

Posted Oct 8, 2014
Pros: Easy access to the beach and freeway
Cons: TV and bathroom layout in future remodels
The hotel in general offers comfort and easy access to the beach. The room was clean and spacious. My only concern was that the bathroom door is too close to the bed and the access is limited and unpleasant to have the restroom door next to you. The extra office space with the foldable bed was great. The TVs are small and don't respond quickly so it's time for a TV upgrade. The access to the garage was excellent and to get to the beach was very convenient.

Hidden Cost, $22.00 per day to self park our car.

Posted Sep 30, 2014
Pros: Nothing special, dated
Cons: Everything could be improved. Old and dated
Location: Hard to find and hard to get into and out of.
Dated room. We stayed 3 days. One day they forgot to clean our room, so we had no coffee. The next day they cleaned our room, brought coffee, but forgot the coffee cups. Everything was expensive. Two drinks were $24.50.

Close to the Oceanfront, Run Down Facility

Posted Sep 29, 2014
The air conditioning was broken in the room, the bathroom was dirty and the furniture was stained. A dog barked in the middle of the night, next door to our room, throughout our stay. The hot tub was not working.

Very noisy hotel near the beach

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: Staff were very accomodating.
Cons: Update the hotel!
Location: Right near the beach
This hotel was very difficult to find. The hotel is old and noisy. The first night we were next to the Freeway (right next to it) and we thought that was bad. We asked for a quieter area and the staff was VERY accomodating. However, the second night the air conditioner cycled on and off very loudly all night. We cut our stay short and left. I can't say enough about the staff. They were trying so hard in a difficult situation. The restaurant was good and the car valets were very helpful. Offering us water and directions.

Sheer drapes on floor when we checked in. Requested maintenance, didn't happen. Unable to open dresser drawers, stuck. Shower head fell off during shower
