“the best for a 3 stars”
I really love when people treats you how it has to be, and the person who welcome us when we arrived was so nice and for us it's very important when people ask for our lenguage to better understand no matter what, (we speak spanish too) thanks again
“Great Value!”
This was my first stay at the Eden Roc - walking distance to Disneyland was easy, with the route taking us through the Grand Californian and Downtown Disney. The Eden Roc staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The room was an older one, but clean, with the most comfortable beds I think I've ever slept in. Not a lot of outside ammenities beyond two nearby restraunts (compared to what you will find along S Harbor with all the other hotels)but that would be the only "negative" thing I would have to say about the entire 5 day trip. I would definitely recommend this to my friends, and plan to return again in December - it's a great value for what you go to Disneyland for - and if you're like me, don't spend any more time than necessary in a hotel room anyway.
“it works”
perfect for disneyland and price. if you're looking for more the cali grand is just down the street.
“a good deal”
This was the perfect place for our Dland vacation - we needed an inexpensive, clean, safe place to stay near the park and that is exactly what we found! We took our 2 & 5 year old, used the local grocery store (pointed out by the desk staff), spent most of our time in the park with a daily lunch walk back and forth to the hotel and had a blast! It's nothing special, rough towels and keep your socks on - but if you are on a budget its awesome. The bathroom was clean, tv was fine and it has a fridge and microwave with plenty of space for your stuff. Once you figure out the way into the park its easy, about a 3 block walk to downtown disney and even less to C/A. Perfect spot - will repeat!
“Perfect place to be and affordable when going to Disneyland.”
The hotel was very affordable and the staff were so helpful. When we arrived check in took 2 minutes and we got into our room dead tired. The kids loved the pool and we had a microwave and blow dryer. The refridgerator needed to be brought into the room. The television worked the beds were fine and ice machine worked well. All and all the best part was the staff friendliness and the fact that the hotel was only 3 short blocks down the road from California Adventure and Disneyland. We will stay there again when we go back to Disneyland.
“Old but Clean!”
This hotel is older- so if you keep that in mind- you'll have a great stay here. It's clean and has a great location to Disneyland park. This was the second time we stayed here and it has now become our Disneyland vacation hotel- the price is just too good to pass up and the walk to the park is nice, because there's no large crowds of people in this direction. I almost don't want to give it a great review because I feel like it's my great secret!!!!
“Disneyland On A Budget”
This was a return visit. This a great little motel. It's old, but it's clean and the rates are outstanding. We'll be back the next time when we bring our Granddaughter to Disneyland. They have two bedroom suites with kitchenettes.
“Initial confusion. Good results!”
The room was comfortable and clean. The condition of the room was mostly good, but outstanding for the price. There was a bit of confusion at check in. They gave me the key to a room that was already occupied, but it was quickly fixed and I had no problems after that. (Thankfully I saw someone enter the room, so I didn't walk in on some poor family!) I stayed while I went to Disneyland, and It was about a 7 minute walk to the park.
“Outstanding Value for the Price”
Amazing location and value! Our family owns timeshares and enjoys staying at great resort locations, but this trip was budget-oriented. We searched for the cheapest price and found Eden Roc. So we had realistic expectations from the start and weren't frustrated that the towels were thinner and the rooms smaller. Respectfully, I don't understand the psychology of the negative reviews given the price. Sure, it could use some updating, but it's not delapidated, and when you are paying such a low rate compared to the surrounding area, I don't see any validation for complaints. If you want an activity center and valet parking you pay the price. If you stay at Eden Roc it's because you are attending an event at the convention center of visiting Disneyland. Either way, you're gone early in the morning and return late at night. We were only in our room to sleep. Have realistic expectations that you get what you pay for and you will be happy you stayed here. The customer service was outstanding! The general manager retuned my phone calls when I had questions, and when we checked in the front desk manager was busy yet took time to accommodate our room request by switching around a few items, and provided us great information about the area in a friendly, professional manner. Restaurants, convention center, and DCA entrance a few minutes on foot make this an amazing bang for your buck. You can even see the fireworks from the second floor.
“Better than what others have said”
Stayed at Eden Roc in early December while at a conference. Much less expensive than other conference hotels in the area. I read some less than flattering reviews after I booked the room so I was a little apprehensive before I got there. The staff was great, very friendly and got me registered without a hassle. Lots of families with kids going to Disney staying there (just a 15 minute walk away). The room was what you would expect for the price in a well kept older motel. Rooms open to the parking lot. Breakfast consists of plastic wrapped pastries, wasn't expecting any at this price. It was clean, had cable, microwave, fridge and a smaller bathroom with shower. The look is dated and the towels a little on the thin side. The only thing I missed was a place to hang my shirts and pants (no hangers just drawers). Other than that, why pay a $50 to 100 more a night for a place to sleep a few blocks away when you can spend it on Disney or save you company some cash. I would go back.
