Extended Stay America Orange County - John Wayne Airport

Pen stains on the sheets. Cigarette burns on the kitchen counter

This is not a hotel at all, it is an expensive rooming house, they clean the rooms every 8 days including changing towels, or cleaning/removing trash from kitchen/bathroom. They do not provide any amenity other than a small bar of soap for eight days. They should advertise as a rooming house/furnished apartment and bring your own services items.

Room was smaller than I expected and had a bad smell. It was next to the hotel laundry so was also noisy.

Great hotel for business trips. Very friendly staff and clean rooms.

Allows pets. Pet Smell everywhere. I had a non smoking room. Hallway and room smelled like a fresh smoke was lit. Elevators - E ticket ride. Each time felt like this time I will get stuck in the elevator. No amenities at all. Just a room. Kitchen REALLY needs to be refreshed. Burns in the counter top, electric cook top scary, not one plate or silverware matched. One window would not open. Walls are VERY thin, Can hear every conversation in the nearby rooms. WiFi free, but sloooooow. The desk clerk gave me the pass code for the wifi when I checked in. Had to call down to get the name of the wifi. Name has nothing to do with the hotel name. Fire alarm went off. While standing outside, was told by others that it was the third time in a week the alarm went off.

Booked as a secret location in Newport. Disappointed as the hotel was 6 miles away from the center, just next to the airport, with nothing in the area. The price was only £10 cheaper than advertised rate. Te staff on check inn would not let us in before 3.00pm, did not even check to see if the allocated room was ready.

Not the cleanest, most friendly place. But if you're on a budget and need somewhere to stay in LA for a few days it does the job.

This Extended Stay is in a great location, near John Wayne Airport and in the business center of OC. Hotel looks nice from the outside, but when I got to my floor and got off the elevator it smelled like my old high school gym locker, from 25 years ago. Went to my room and opened the windows for fresh air only to realize they were running a U-Haul franchise out of one of the ground level hotel rooms. So you had trucks coming in/out all times of the day, and nice big ones with air brakes, an added value in the middle of the night. The room was marginly clean, but just seemed shabby, mostly the impression left by the bad odor throughout. This was in a very nice area of OC too. I would NOT stay here unless this was the last choice you had, only saving grace was the location.

Didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel. One evening we could smell cigarette smoke (in the late evening) I expect it was due to people smoking outside and the air conditioner not "cleaning" the air.
