This was our first time staying at the Howard Johnson across from Disneyland. Customer service was spot on and no issues. Rooms were clean and quiet. View of the park was amazing to see the fireworks at night on our Disney day off. I was especially impressed with the cleaning staff. We usually lock all our valuables up but forgot 2- $20 bills and a bag of change on the bed. They nicely put them on the nightstand and made the room up. Very impressed!!! 6 minutes walk to Disneyland security is very close and convenient.We will stay here again when we come back next time.

The hotel is a good location for walking to and from Disneyland, and it is a bonus that you pass some fast food restaurants on the way (convenient to grab coffees to go on the way to the park). But, we found the property very much run down since our last visit 5 years ago. We did stay in building 4, which is not renovated, so I can’t comment on the newer rooms. Our first room stank very much like sewer as soon as we entered, so we requested a room change, which was granted. We then moved to our room in building 4, which was adequate for what we paid. Unfortunately, the room had a damp, stale stench, and was very old and run down. The shower did not get hot water and the water pressure was poor. The fan was old and very loud. I can say that the pool areas were good amenities and appreciated. Overall,unless you are staying in the newer buildings (which I can’t offer comment on), I would look at other hotels in the area that seem very comparable in price and are just as close to the park. I am not sure we would rebook because of this.

Our family really enjoyed our stay. We were able to check in a bit early and enjoy the pool and water park. My kids were not aware that we were in the area to visit Disneyland and the staff at check in was super helpful and discreet. We made a point to play in the pool once a day as a bit of a break from Disneyland and the heat.

Staff was excellent and very helpful. Room was recently remodeled. I have stayed here before and was a little disapointed. This time around, i was ver satisfied and will definately stay again. I was amazed how many maintenence and cleaning satff were in site. They take very good care of this property.

Excellent choice for families visiting Disneyland. Rooms are clean and beds comfortable. We booked two connecting rooms with 2 queens each. Only a short walk to the theme parks. Friendly and helpful staff. Would stay there again. Pierre Calgary AB Canada

The WiFi did not work for our entire 6 day stay, despite being told on the first day that it should be fixed soon. This made it very difficult to work and relax.

We had the most wonderful stay at the howard johnson anaheim!!!! They even prepared a buzz lightyear birthday balloon for my son when i told them we were arriving for his 4th birthday. I cant say enough good things about the staff, the maids and the life guards. They were incredibly friendly and kind. The childrens water park is absolutely perfect for toddlers and you cant beat the location for walking to disneyland! We cant wait to come back!

Perfect hotel for the family if you have small kids its a must. If they can do anything about the freeway noise thicker windows, would be wonderful. After a long day at Disneyland, had a difficult time sleeping due to the noise. Maybe a sign or a notice on what to on arrival a sign on where to go/park to check in.

Staff were fairly rude at the pool, always asking to see your wristbands, demanding your name and room number, yelling at the kids. We were in Building 6 and they appear they have not been updated since the place was built, smells like urine and the rooms are falling apart. Heard other areas were nice and updated, but this building was definitely not. Probably won't stay again.

The room smelled like cigarettes and was very musty and old. The fact that we spent most of our days walking all day and having to go up down with luggage and strollers was very tiresome and very hard.

Didn’t like being informed about parking fees after checking in. Splash pad was good for the kids but when we tried to use the other pool it was closed. Guests were noisy. Fire alarm went off. Would I return there? Probably

We had a great stay rooms where clean beds where comfortable. Distance to disneyland was great. Front staff came out a bit rude at first when checking in but her attitude changes after and was very helpful and given us a map on how to get around to disneyland as it was our first visit. Would definitely stay again.
