Perfect hotel for families and DisneylandPosted Sep 14, 2014
The hotel was clean and the rooms pretty big. We had a 2nd floor room so our ceilings were really high making our room seem even larger. The waterpark was an awesome break for the kids in the middle of a busy day at Disneyland and it was open until 10 which was nice. We watched the fireworks from the hot tub one night. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I booked a room without a microwave by mistake and they brought me a spare after I called down to the front desk. It is a very short walk to the Disney front gates which is great if smaller children need to nap or just take a break.

Close walk to DisneylandPosted Sep 10, 2014
The hotel was great. They have an awesome waterpark for kids and a whole other pool in a different area of the hotel. It was a close walk back and fourth from disneyland which makes it easy on little ones if they just need a break. The only terrible thing was the free wifi. It sometimes wouldn't work. Maybe in different parts of the hotel it works better. All and all the hotel was pretty awesome.

Great place to stayPosted Sep 7, 2014
Location: Walking distance to Disneyland
Room was clean & spacious, staff were very friendly & helpful. Don't forget to ask for a kettle for your room, if you're a tea drinker.

Nice clean hotel for familiesPosted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Reasonable rate, clean, very child-friendly rooms (bunk-bed suite), and a wonderful water play park
Cons: -More modern decor -The drains in one bathroom became clogged. Staff responded and unglogged them immediately but they got clogged again soon after
Location: Very short walk to Disneyland. Mimi's restaurant was fantastic! Super reasonable prices and great food! Great outlet malls close by too!
Hotel wasn't fancy but was nice and clean and decor nicely complements a Disney visit. Easy walk to Disney even with my two tired 5 and 7 year old boys. Waterpark is great for little kids and the other garden pool is relaxing if you prefer a more quiet setting. The bunk bed suite was fantastic for our family of 4. Staff was very helpful and responded to our requests immediately. Was very very satisfied with my stay here and would stay here again for sure.

Great place for toddlers!Posted Sep 2, 2014
Our almost 3 yr old son loved our stay at the Howard Johnson. He was beside himself when he caught a glimpse of the pirate water park area from the parking lot. We spent a few hours there, and another few at the pool. Lots of fresh towels available. If it's a busy holiday weekend, plan to arrive at the water park area at 10am (opening time) in order to grab a few chairs in the shade for your family. No restaurant on site but the gift shop is packed with lots of healthy snack options (breakfast bars, wheat thins, etc.) and you're within walking distance of a number of sit-down and fast food restaurants. We drove a few minutes to the Anaheim Garden Walk for dinner since there are tons of options and it's a beautifully maintained plaza. And, the hotel has a small game room that is a good place to spend a bit of time before/after water activities or meals. Great job!

Fun & convenient to Disney LAPosted Sep 2, 2014
We had 2 days at Disneyland and Disney California adventure. There is a short shuttle ride to the parks or you can walk to the parks in around 10 mins. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and their hotel shop was a god send for snacks and toiletries. The room was clean, plenty of storage, and had really comfy beds. The water park was a total hit with my 6 yr old, and it had a great view of the Disney fireworks in the evening. Really happy with our stay.

Fun hotel and waterparkPosted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Large size of the room and the waterpark and pool.
Cons: Maybe update the rooms in the old part of the hotel.
Location: Disneyland, Anaheim Angels park, tons to do.
Nice hotel, loved the location so close to Disneyland. The kids really enjoyed having both a regular pool to play in, as well as the waterpark option. Our room was in the older part of the hotel, and it was really spacious.

Perfect location for DisneylandPosted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Loved the proximity to Disneyland (8 minute walk door to door). It was one of the closest hotels.
Cons: Nothing. It was perfect for our needs.
Location: Great location for Disney parks. Walking distance to restaurants but needed a car to venture further i.e. supermarket, outlet malls, beaches etc.
This hotel is very new and spotlessly clean. We had a deluxe room with fridge and microwave overlooking the pool with a balcony. The pool was lovely and had complimentary towels. The childrens water playground was very nice but more suited to young children.

Close to DisneylandPosted Sep 1, 2014
Our transfer bus from lax dropped us off right at the steps of the front desk, checked in and in our room in ten minutes. Out the door and at the front gate of Disneyland after an eight minute walk, as close or closer than the Disneyland hotel itself to the front gate. Enjoyed the water park pool and the deeper one at the back of the hotel grounds.
