Great resort hotel, easy access to beach.

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Pros: Location was perfect. staff was extra friendly. Late access to pools/hot tubs. Nice fitness room. grounds were immaculate.
Cons: prices on some of the shops/restaurants was a bit much, fortunately they had some other options.
Location: this place is all about beach culture. Everything else available is just a distraction until you go back to the beach.
This place was huge-- but in a good way. Restaurants, heated pools/hot tubs, fitness center and spa, shops, activities for the kids, all inside the resort. A quick walk over the foot bridge takes you right on to Huntington beach. Incredible views of the sunset. There are also gas fire pits, and fireplaces dotted around, so after a night swim or on a breezy evening you can curl up by a warm fire.

Pros: The location was the best part, just fantastic.

Location: Beach and main street
Loved the hotel, both big and beautiful. Across the road from the beach and walking distance to main street.

Too expensive

Posted Mar 8, 2015
Too expensive. They charge a daily resort fee in addition to the daily rate. No onsite parking so you have to valet or park across the street in the meters. Won't be staying here again

Nice Hotel Close to the Beach

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: The hotel is very beautiful and very well maintained. A very large property with lots to do.
Cons: Valet charges and resort fees should be included in the room rate. It feels so cheap to be charged extra for these items.
Location: Location is awesome. Directly across from Huntington Beach, close to shopping and freeway access.
We stayed at the Hyatt Huntington Beach over Valentines Day. It's a beautiful property located right across from the beach. The Good: Beautiful property with lots of amenities. Friendly staff, very clean very safe location. It's close to shopping, freeway access and other restaurants if you chose to go off property. It's a pet friendly hotel, they have a kids camp and lots of fun stuff to do. The Bad: They do nickle and dime you. $35 dollar per day valet charge. Daily resort fees and taxes. Most of the outlets in our room did not work, we reported it, they sent an engineer up who said they were all working fine, but if I plugged something into most of the outlets only one or two of them were actually working. The in room safe also kept going out on us, we had to call a couple of times to have them unlock it for us. I ordered room service the first night there and they forgot my order, although they did make up for that with a free in room movie and brought up treats for us.

Perfect for the Surf City Marathon

Posted Feb 13, 2015
Pros: Exceptional staff.
Cons: Rooms are a little run down. For the extremely high cost, I just expected a little more luxory.
The location of the hotel is exceptional, the staff is beyond exceptional. Very friendly, very helpful, and very invested in a pleasant experience for their guests. They went out of their way numerous times to help us out during our stay. The hotel itself is nice. The grounds are exceptional, but the rooms are pretty average. If you are standing in your room not looking out a window, you might not know the difference between this room and one at Holiday in Express. The rooms were average. But the royalty treatment from the staff more than made up for it. Our kids enjoyed the pool and the daily activities.
