"The best front beach hotel at an affordable price."
We didn't research anything about the hotel other than the price.
We were very pleased and surprised about everything, design, paintings, mirrors, Jacuzzi, bed, tables, 2 TV's, small kitchen with plenty of utensils, fridge, microwave, stove, balcony with BBQ. everything was amazing. Some hotels I stayed don't even come close to have a comfortable bed or even one decent size TV. We'll definitely go back.

My wife and I spent two nights at 14 West before south to San Diego. We wish we had spent the entire time in Laguna Beach and at 14 West. We don't have a single complaint or suggestion. It's a wonderful little boutique hotel. We stayed in Room 14, which has two queen beds and is located at the back of the property (away from the PCH). It was super quiet. The bed was so comfortable and the rooms were big and well furnished. The hotel is central to shopping and restaurants and the beaches. We highly recommend Ruby's Shake Shack for breakfast. It's north on the PCH toward Corona Del Mar. The food a great and the view is incredible.

My mom and I stayed here while she was in town visiting from Ohio. We loved the hotel! The staff was very kind and helpful, our room was clean and large, the pool was small but great with tables to have breakfast or lunch at. We made use of their complimentary beach chairs and umbrella and had a great day relaxing by the beach nearby. The location was perfect, a few blocks from downtown and only one block from the beach. We loved the free wine and cookies! Would absolutely recommend and come back here again!

This hotel was the best I have ever stayed at in the area for the money. The staff were always so friendly and helpful from the first time we arrived til the end. The garden feel is so refreshing and has a homey feeling. The cleaning staff were friendly, efficient. My number one priority is the bed. It was a firm bed but comfortable. A pillow top would have been even better but I slept great every night. There is a nice chair and footstool for sitting instead of just the bed like usual. The complimentary breakfast is very nice. A very good variety to choose from. We were so busy we never used the pool and hot tub but seemed to be enjoyed by others. There are plenty of places nearby for eating even from walking distances. A small mall close by as well. The beach isn't too far away. Be careful about the toll road in the area because it can be very expensive, especially if you do not pay in the next 48 hours. You have to pay online by your own volition or you get a hefty fine. All in all a very nice place. The traffic on 5 is nice going north bound in the morning and nice coming back in the evening. The opposite wasn't the case. Keep this in mind depending on which direction you will be going.
