Nice hotel, close to shopping and restaurantsPosted Nov 6, 2014
Great hotel, nice bar, good pool, great outdoor space. It's across the street from a great outdoor mall with lots of restaurants and shops. Staff was very nice and accommodating. The king room was spacious, bathroom was very large and nice! The bar turns into a nightclub on the weekend, it was pretty packed!

First Time at the Island HotelPosted Oct 31, 2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly and nice. They did a great job!
Cons: The bar area was very loud at night and woke us up. we could not get any sleep-we were on the 16th floor over restaurant/bar.
Location: great location close to everything and airport.
Your staff was very nice and helpful - they were happy and I had a great experience with them. I didn't know this was valet only - it was very difficult that I couldn't get to my car when the kids forgot something and i had to go through calling and waiting for my car (even though they are fast) there are many times when there are many people leaving arriving at one time....I would prefer to be able to go to my car instead of calling and arranging the car. it would be good if valet was optional - I would be happy to walk a little bit just to be able to go to the car when I wanted with out having to arrange a call and wait os well as feeling rushed to move the in a line quickly....Perhaps you could have a seperate line for moms with kids or a section of the visitors parking area for those who wish to park themselves.. Also, I would change the breakfast - some people just need a quick breakfast bar area or buffet. also, the price was very high. I would have liked to have free wi-fi as we needed to do some homework and didn't need it for a long time.

Nice hotel close to shoppingPosted Sep 29, 2014
Nice place, no coffee available in the morning and charged 12.95 a day for wifi. Also our flat screen tv didn't work and when we called the front desk they did not seem to concerned about it. Probably will not stay again.

It's ok but I would much rather stay at an Embassy Suites. Plus they hit you with a $32 parking fee.

Nice but it is showing it's age.Posted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: Close to everything.
Cons: Valet.I feel bad for them felt like everyone in Orange County was there. But it should be limited to clients that are staying the night.
Location: Fashion Island is next door.
Nice over night getaway. Had a great dinner at Fleming's and the next day had a great breakfast at the Grill downstairs. Overall nice place, but I stated before it is showing it's age.

A fine hotel in a great location. The new dining room/restaurant and remodeled Aqua Lounge are a HUGE improvement over the former dining/bar facilities. The outside patio dining area is particularly lovely. Food, although pricey, was good. HOWEVER, the service at the bar and dinner was poor. Inattentive bartender in an uncrowded bar serving $20 drinks. Dinner service was so slow, we gave up after our flatbread appetizer. Rooms are comfortable. Our bathroom needed updating.

Nice hotel in NewportPosted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: I liked that it was clean and easy to get to.
The hotel is very welcoming and immaculate when you walk into the lobby. You're greeted by the valet attendants and walk into a gran foyer. Check in reception was great and a short walk to the elevator and up to your room you go. One thing I did not like about our room stay was the bathtub did not drain properly whatsoever. The drain would be open but it wouldn't drain out water, so when you're taking a shower it would fill up. That and the valet charge was rather steep @ $32.
