Nice location

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: location; rooftop bar; bed/linens
Cons: update windows and room lighting
Location: beach; shopping
Nice location with fun roof-top bar and great wait staff; room was very small, dingy and out-dated; bathroom sink lights had a short which soon faded out and made me nervous about the wiring; room was a 'garden view' which actually was on the alley with a bush outside and a window that would not stay open (no screen) but also would not lock; the bed and linens were quite comfortable and the breakfast buffet was also adequate; overall would recommend calling and requesting a specific (nicer) room versus booking online, or spending a bit more $ for a nicer hotel

Beach Lovers Paradise

Pros: The hotel is charming and has a unique personality - part Spanish Mission and part hip/artsy/sophisticated and laid back -- all at the same time.
Location: The beach is at the hotel's doorstep -- Mozambique a short walk away has great food and live music. The complimentary brekfast at the hotel is good.
For several years I have made a point of going to Laguna Beach so that I can stay at the Casa Del Camino - nothing beats watching the sun go down over the Pacific from their rooftop deck and bar! An the beach is steps away for a morning swim.

Beautiful boutique hotel with awesome location!

Pros: The rooftop deck bar is a stellar jewel. Our room was sparkling and oozed charm. The free parking across the street was a huge convenience. Fab staff!
Location: Easy walking distance to the heart of Laguna. Eat, drink, stroll, shop to your heart's content.
From beginning to end, this was a fabulous stay. The hotel is even more charming in person than in photos. The staff (Joe and Marilyn) greeted us warmly and, despite our early arrival and a full house the night before, worked hard to get a room ready for us. I booked this hotel for our anniversary celebration and asked (in an e-mail) that a view table be reserved for us on the rooftop deck for sunset that evening. Not only was this request honored with a spectacular table, a lovely bottle of wine and note was waiting for us in our room. The room (including the bathroom) was compact but impeccably appointed and comfortable... The hotel is literally a half-block to the steps that lead down to the beach. We were offered beach towels and chairs by Marilyn to make our time at the water more comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was ample with delicious hot and cold offerings and the later check-out (noon) gave us time to enjoy a coffee and linger a bit to enjoy a morning coastline stroll. A regret is that we only had one night to spend in this lovely hotel. If you are looking for warm, attentive hospitality in a romantic setting, this is the place.

Heaven on Earth

Pros: Everything. I loved my stay and specially the surf room are fantastic.
OMG. The hotel staff were awesome. They made my stay truly remarkable. I stayed in the Surf room, it was one of kind, ocean view, designed with taste. The rooms are divine. The hotel staff work so hard to make your stay one of kind. I will go back again and again.

Great Trip

It was wonderful. The only thing I was a little dissapointed about was the "ocean view" was not the greatest. I paid an extra $50/ night for an ocean view.

Perfect beach location!

Our favorite hotel to stay when visiting Laguna Beach. It's within steps to the beach and lots of great restaurants nearby. The Rooftop bar is awesome for a view of the sunset over cocktails!

Good hotel. Great location.

Don't expect a modern hotel. This place is intentionally kept as a nod to days long past. It's a good clean place to sleep. The staff was friendly. The price is reasonable. The breakfast is good.

Pros: Just a fun vibe and attentive staff.
Cons: Berakfast
Location: Great walking distance to shops restaurants and the ocean.
I enjoyed the hotel right as I stepped into the bustling lobby, the reception was quick and painless and the room was funky. Lobby bar was great with food from the restaurant. I will go back
