Rooftop bar overlooking the Ocean

Posted Apr 21, 2014
Pros: Location Roof terrace area Complimentary car parking
Cons: Bedroom lighting Noisy air conditioning
Location: Ocean views Shops & restaurants within walking distance Beach walks
Spanish style hotel located a short walk from the ocean & centre of Laguna. We had a partial ocean view room which had a noisy air con unit but it did cool the room! The hotel was in the process of being redecorated in the main rooms & hallways while we were there, some updating of the rooms is needed as the lighting in the bedroom was very dim & the bedside lights flickered. A very good breakfast was included in the room rate, this could be taken up to the roof terrace area which was very picturesque overlooking the ocean. The staff were helpful when needed.

Loved the Spanish theme!

Great stay! Wish could have stayed longer. Room was clean, staff was kind. Definitely try the restaurant downstairs, K'ya. Food was delicious! Small plate style, for my boyfriend and I, we got 5 dishes which was more than plenty. Roof top was amazing and open to guests 24 hours.

Beach weekend.

Posted Mar 31, 2014
My boyfriend love Laguna and had talked about staying here several times. The hotel is adorable and very well kept and the location is great! The parking was a little challenging as there is very limited space for loading/unloading, but the lot for hotel guests was a very short walk. It was also a little difficult to park a full-sized SUV in the lot as the space was tight. The staff was wonderful and the location is perfect. Definitely recommend Rooftop and K'Ya!

Parent's 25th Anniversary Getaway

Posted Feb 11, 2014
I had paid for a room with a partial room and their room had no view at all. I spoke with an Expedia Rep about possibly providing a bottle of champagne in their room and they delivered, which was very nice. Hotel room is kind of small, expecially for a "suite". Parking is across the street, included. Breakfast was okay. Overall a nice place, lots of character.

Great location!

Posted Feb 3, 2014
Pros: Location, ambiance.
Cons: Rooms could be a more cleaner.
Location: Everything is nearby, centrally located, beach, restaurants, shops.
We've stayed at this hotel before, great location, folks are very nice and we especially love going up on balcony and have a drink and appetizer with the ocean right in front of us. Though the room could be a little more cleaner, noticed that the bathtub area had some cracking, light bulbs flickering (could be old electrical). The hotel restaurant/staff is excellent, couldn't ask for better. Had a room with partial view which was excellent could hear water at night.

Quaint hotel close to the Pacific

Posted Jan 29, 2014
Pros: It was quaint, close to the beach, had a very nice breakfast that you could take to the rooftop overlooking the ocean. Also, it included parking.
Cons: There are some additional resort fees etc. in addition to the hotel cost that drive the cost of the hotel up higher than advertised. Calculate those.
Location: Nice location near the beach but a little far from the mainstream downtown. However, there are cute shops but most closed until 11:00 on Sundays.
Husband and I went to hotel to spend my birthday. It wAs a nice getaway.

close to beach but to far from town

Posted Jan 21, 2014
Pros: Hotel staff very pleasant
Cons: Maintenance needs to be improved
Location: The beach is close but the walk to the village area can be a chore.
Poor room lighting, bathroom sink drains poorly, noisy AC however I like noise so this did not affect my sleeping.

Perfect hotel for the real Laguna Beach

Posted Jan 17, 2014
Wonderful boutique hotel on Laguna beach. Each room is different, and our was on the small side, but it was cozy, clean and stylish. The breakfast is great, and you can take it up to the balcony each morning which is a great start to each day on vacation! Walking distance to lots of great restaurants and a fabulous gelato shop. Parking is also included.

good first stay, alright second stay...

Pros: location, restaurant food
Cons: no room view, bad WiFi connection, super thin walls so you hear EVERYTHING
Location: beautiful Laguna Beach!
I went to this hotel for the first time last year for my birthday and we had a great time. we got a Queen room that ended up having a side view of the ocean. it was super small (so small the sink isn't even in our bathroom), but we had an awesome dinner at K'Ya and everything was great. this year, I went back for hopefully an even better time, and booked a Queen Suite with a Partial View. this suite had NO VIEW of the ocean. NOTHING. all we got was a partial view of the other side of the building. I complained to the front desk and apparently Expedia lumps in 'NO VIEW' and 'PARTIAL VIEW' in the same. they were booked so couldn't move me. then the WiFi wouldn't work at all and they told me to bring my phone down to the front desk to fix it. really? but...then they sent a free bottle of wine up to the room so that was nice. dinner was great at K'Ya, but the waiters asked to take our plates at least 6 times before we were done. I just wanted to have a nice birthday dinner in peace. ): overall I really like this hotel, and my first visit was amazing. but it seems like the attitude is "let's do a bunch of bad things and then make up for it with a few tiny good things" which is a bummer. the location is amazing but I probably won't be back, at least not to celebrate anything special.

Paradise on the Pacific

Posted Jan 2, 2014
Pros: Everything! Location, architectual ambiance and decor of rooms, views from rooftop. Very pleasant reception staff.
Cons: Bar was understaffed at peak hours --
Location: Some great restaurants, such as "Mozambique."
Casa Del Camino offers the quintessential Southern California beach community experience. Located next to the beach with magnificent sunset views from the rooftop bar and restaurant, this hotel has it all! Easy walking distance into town and shops, galleries and restaurants; each room very charming with unique decor -- we stayed in one with a surfer/Old Spain theme; live music in front of a blazing fire in the lobby in the evenings; great drinks at the bar; and steps from a beautiful beach -- even parking!
