Favorite "Beach House" in Laguna BeachPosted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: We loved the decor in the rooms and the location.
Cons: Curtain for some privacy near sink area and to block the light while someone is sleeping. Extend pool hours earlier/later. More GF options.
Location: Farmers Market on Saturday on Broadway, Heisler Park for sunset trolls, Laguna Beach Playhouse for a night at the theater and lots of art everywhere!
Upon arrival, the staff was extremely friendly and kind. We loved the location, being nice and close to the park for amazing evening sunset strolls and morning workouts (especially on those stairs). Loved the yogurt in the morning, especially after going to the Farmers Market on Saturday to get some fresh berries. Very quiet hotel, perfect for couples.

Girl's weekendPosted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness, friendly staff, location, location, location
Cons: I wish the hours of the fire pit would have been extended to at least midnight and that the water with orange in the lobby was always refilled.
Location: shopping, dining, and swimming Everything is within walking distance
Location is central for shopping, dining, and going to the beach. The pool's temperature was perfect.

Casual hotel near the beachPosted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: The hotel has a very casual feel and I enjoyed the overall decor of the space. Proximity to the beach and village was excellent.
Cons: The rooms all face the pool/fire pit area. You should travel with a white noise maker to help drown out noises from that space.
Location: Tons of restaurants and shops near by. Two beach parks within walking distance - one a block behind hotel.
We enjoyed our stay here, but we paid for a room with a balcony so we could enjoy the view. Only one side of the hotel has a decent view of the coast and we were on the other side. We could see the ocean, but it was over the tops of other buildings. The rooms all face the pool, so there was some noise at night from other guests. Everyone was respectful, but you could still hear talking unless you had a white noise maker. Overall, we enjoyed the hotel, the staff and our stay. The beds were comfortable and there is a decent amount of space in the rooms. The added bonus of coffee and yogurt in the mornings along with cookies and wine at night was a nice touch. The proximity to everything can't be beat and the price was on point for everything.

Nice hotel, but misleading descriptions & pricey!Posted May 30, 2015
Pros: The front desk was really friendly and worked efficiently. The room was nice and the bed was comfy. I also liked the pool area and the fire pit.
Cons: Giving a more accurate description of the room's view AND mentioning online how much parking over night will be(or getting rid of the fee/too pricey).
Location: There is a Ralph's close by (which can conveniently save you some money on snacks and drinks) & a great restaurant called Royal Thai Cuisine.
The hotel had a nice beach theme, looked very new and clean from the recent renovation. It wasn't a very large place, but the room we stayed in was a good size. We rented a room with an ocean view and a balcony, the details were left very vague on Expedia as well as the official hotel site. What "ocean view" really meant based on our experience is you can see some of the ocean from a far away distance, along with all of the surrounding buildings in front of this view. The actual balcony part had the same view except it also faced a not so aesthetically pleasing parking lot. This is why we felt that the description of the room (that we specifically got for the view) was misleading. If we had known we would have definitely rented one of the cheaper rooms, because spending the extra money really wasn't worth it.

Excellent timePosted Apr 25, 2015 on Hotels
We visited for Spring Break, while the hotel was undergoing its Grand Reopening. We got a great deal and were within walking distance of the main beach, restaurants and the LB Art Museum. They also had free coffee, cookies and wine every week day! We really enjoyed our time and will definitely return!

Pros: Clean, and friendly
Cons: True advertising
Location: Great location
I felt decieved about deck &view of ocean which was just tiny and not from our room. Swimming pool was so small, not for adults. Couldn't even see beach from hotel. Overpriced.
