“some things need to change”

Overall our stay was ok had a few problems in the room could not see how to work the heat or air or understand which we were setting, the bed was a sleep number and it did not work very well don't know if its because it old or cheep one did not sleep well at all stayed on the third floor in a corner room for less noise and that was not true could here people outside our room to get to the stairs and here the gate downstairs to get into the parking lot was there for a funeral and the stay was not that great and the floor by the elevator was not very good fact it caused me to fall . We called for maintaince one time and they never showed up the free breakfast was good but overall I might think about staying somewhere else

Area recommendations
If you were coming here for fun its great for going to Knotts berry farm you could even walk there, and Disneyland was not far away and shopping center close by and eating places were good to pick from very close to freeways and the beach

“Oasis in Buena Park”

Not much to say other than it was a great choice and the Expedia discount made it that much better. I didn't feel like I was in Buena Park when I was in the place. I had a great room, clean and spacious for four. The breakfast was very good with made to order choices and the free parking, free Disneyland shuttle and proximity to Knotts Berry Farm and the Medieval times made this place a great find.

“Well-priced Luxury”

We booked here so we could park and walk to Knott's. We had three teenagers with us so we booked 2 suites. They were roomier than we expected and had mini-friges and microwaves if you were inclined to prepare food. The hotel itself is beautiful with a garden atrium; the kind of place you'd stay if you were on a honeymoon. The breakfast was included and delicious; they have a buffet as well as a cooked-to-order station. We ate by the pool and enjoyed seeing kids cavorting in the water. We would absolutely stay here again. We did the "Haunt" event at Knott's and walked 2 long blocks to get there. We felt absolutely safe even though we returned to the suites at 1:30 a.m. My teens used the Wi-Fi and it worked perfectly.

“Good for families”

This was our 2nd visit in 3 years. The quality seemed to have declined slightly since our first stay. We really like the location. The courtyard is fabulous! Nice hot breakfast compared to the typical continental style you often see. The rooms have a lot of character but our Sleep Number beds didn't work. The pocket door to the bathroom would have been a nice feature but it was heavy and hard to push or pull shut. My 7 year old couldn't manage it himself. The computers in the lobby were ineffective and slow, so better to bring your own. The staff was very friendly and we met a lot of nice people. Not sure if we will stay there again, though.

“Great for the money”

Over all it was a nice place to stay for the cost. They had the best complimentary breakfast of any hotel we have stayed at. You could have two cooked to order eggs and two bacon or sausage in addition to a decent breakfast buffet. It is nice to get some real protein in your belly before trekking to the park for the day. The first room they gave us was right over housekeeping laundry and it literally shook our bed all night. The next morning we told the manager and he apologized (sincerely I might add) he said they were not supposed to work graveyard if someone was in that room, and I think since we checked in so late (11:30pm) they didn't know we were there. He moved us immediately to a different room and even offered an upgrade which wasn't necessary we just needed quiet. The new room was indeed quiet and we were able to sleep throughout the whole night. We were able to walk with two kids to Knott"s Berry Farm for the day and to a local restaurant for dinner. I think the shower needs some attention from the cleaning crew and I pointed it out upon check-out. Everything else was clean. The pool was nice after a hot day at the park. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. They do have the sleep number beds which I was excited to try. It worked in the first room but not in the second so I think it might be hit or miss.

Getting there
When ever flying to Orange county California, we always fly in and out of John Wayne airport SNA. It costs a little more than flying into LAX but it is easier to get in and out of. It only has one terminal I think. Security lines are very short. It is also only 20 minutes or so to Disney Land and Knott's Berry Farm so you don't have to take a ridiculous shuttle. The first time we flew to Disney Land the shuttle from LAX to our Disney Hotel took longer than our flight from Portland, OR.
Dining
Both Disney Land and Knott's Berry Farm allow (or rather haven't stopped us yet) you to bring snacks in your back pack. Bring a couple bottles of water and fill them at a drinking fountain. Pack trail mix, beef jerky, fruit snacks, crackers, pretzels, protein bars, etc. Try to not buy food at Knott's Berry Farm! The food prices are INSANE! (Think movie theater prices or higher.) Drink prices are too. There are lots of options to buy a souvenir bottle and pay to refill them. Later in the day we found one that is a twelve ounce tumbler that you can refill for free at any place that has a soda fountain. By far the best value.

“For price, one of the best deals in the Disneyland area.”

When considering everything (room, location, amenities including full breakfast, nice staff), it's really hard to beat for the Disneyland-knott's area. We have annual Disneyland passes, and have stayed here several times now when going down for overnight trips to Dinseyland or Knott's. We will continue to do so.

“Won't be going back!!”

When I first checked into the hotel room, I was happy with the size of the room.. There was 5 people in our room. The first night was really bad.. We were attack with bed bugs , and we were waking up during the night , feeling like things were crawling on us. So, we asked to move to another room.. They were very helpful with this. I noticed the sheets were dirty and had stains on them. The manager told us that they would clean are last room up , and send a specialist to make sure there was no bed bugs..That they had to make sure that this didn't pass on to others.. They had to to shut the room down.. I walked by and notice the house cleaning did nothing, but just clean the room , ready for another guest.. Very Crazy!! Going into the second room , we had very dirty floors , damp floors , and leaking bath tub handle .. The cafeteria , breakfast buffet was good , but tables and floors had a greasy film on them that you could slide with your feet.. I don't recommend this hotel..

“Will return next year!”

We've stayed here two times now and plan on going back next year when we are down for our annual trip. The staff is extremely courteous and the accommodations are quite nice. Very good restaurant next store, walking distance. Nice spa and pool which we enjoyed very much.
