Would NOT stay again

Horrible musty smell in the room. No security. The motel was very run down and undesirable. Lights and alarm clock didn't work.

Pros: The pool.
Cons: Room cleanliness.
Location: We didn't do anything nearby, we were on the trip for family (local) celebration.
Our room wasn't ready until 6 pm and then wasn't really clean. Negligee and panties left in the bathroom, surfaces in all parts of the room, not really clean. The restaurant next door does not give a discount for motel patrons as advertised on the web site ( and haven't for quite a while). The staff were very nice, pleasant and courteous. It is an old motel, but is in pretty good shape overall. The pool was very nice. If we hadn't had such a great time on our trip overall I would have rated the motel lower.

Needs some TLC

Pros: Convenient location.
Cons: The rooms are outdated and the repairs and improvements looked like they were performed by total amateurs. It may be clean didn't get that feeling.
The parking lot is full of holes and about 5 years past needing sealing and striping. Landscaping is poorly maintained. Seems to have some long term guest. Did not feel safe at times with some of the characters that were around.

TV not working right for 3 days

Our TV only got about 9 channels out of the nearly 50 it was supposed to receive. Two different hotel maintenance men looked at it and could not fix it. We were told the local cable company would come out. They didn't show for two days. When they did show up, they found that a small cable was unplugged! We were never offered a discount on our stay and actually had to ask the staff ourselves to be moved to another room. The desk staff was unapologetic and quite indifferent. Room and location gets an A+, but customer service gets a D.
