Super grossPosted Oct 23, 2014
The bed was uncomfortable, the bathroom was disgusting, the sheets didn't fit the bed and kept coming off the mattress, and the room itself was tiny. You get what you pay for, I guess.

Very small and oldPosted Oct 18, 2014
small room, very old, smells like an old Disneyland ride. The beds looked old, but we're mostly comfortable. It was mostly clean, but didn't feel clean. The sheets looked either very old or not changed. The flat screen TV was nice, the window blinds were nice. The refrigerator was running. The bathroom felt large and was pretty good. The towels are very bad, bring your own, I did. The best thing this place has going for it, is the fact that the shower head was at about 6 feet, so we didn't have to bend over. I know that these hotels get booked because they are within walking distance of DL, but it would be nice if they put a little more effort into making it feel more modern and clean. To give you a final thought, when you check in, you get handed this weird key with holes in it that opens your door and they hand you the TV remote. Hmmmm.....

Worst StayPosted Oct 17, 2014
I arrived to check in to my hotel. I gave my credit card and id to the clerk and he asked how many people would be staying in the room. There was only my sister and I so I said 2. He then grabbed a ruler on his desk and slammed it against the security tv screen and said "those 4 people are not with you?". He had been spying on me and the car I drove in. People were outside and none of them were with me. He continued to try to accuse me and proceeded to write my credit card number down in pencil. I was given my key. He left all my personal information on the desk and I asked to make sure he was going to safely put that away and he said "don't worry I know what I'm doing". Thankfully I needed this room only for sleep. The other hotel I usually stay at was booked when I was looking for reservations. Had I needed to stay any longer I wouldn't have checked in after that experience alone. The rooms are dingy and loud which isn't a big deal for what I needed it for. However, with his customer service I'll never be back.

Smelled like BO and almost everything was broken!Posted Oct 12, 2014
I spent 5 nights at the Riviera Motel. I will never come back! Practically everything in the room was either dirty or broken. The chairs were falling apart, the bed was lopsided, the floorboards were coming up, the door wouldn't completely lock, and the entire facility smelled like BO!! Disgusting. Staff wasn't helpful and didn't seem to care.

Close to Disney/California Adventure.Posted Sep 22, 2014
Stayed at the Riviera for a week while visiting Disneyland/L.A. and surrounding area. Great little no-frills motel if you're on a budget. Room was clean, bed was comfy, the pool was nice, and it's only short walk (a few blocks) to Disney/California Adventure. Also close to various restaurants and the Garden Walk Mall right across the street. The staff was friendly and helpful.

A retro bargain with some surprising plusesPosted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Room and entire facility very clean and kept-up, despite age of the facility. Deep, clean pool we could do laps in. Appliances worked well
Cons: something for clothing storage would help. We had a rack with just 4 hangers. We used the second bed for suitcases and laying out clothes.
Location: 3/4 mile from Anaheim Convention Center, about the same to main entrance of Disneyland. On the eastern edge of the "Anaheim resort district."
We were looking for a "good deal" hotel near Anaheim Convention Center (a couple blocks from Disneyland), where my wife had a 3-day conference. Riviera Motel had a 50's-60s retro look (2-story L-shaped motel) with a pool at a great bargain price (an Expedia Flight Hotel deal), so we decided to try it. Bottom line, we enjoyed it. The room furnishings were spare, but the beds were very comfortable, AC worked great as did the microwave and fridge. Huge bathroom, tiled and clean but also spare. Don't look for posh-hotel amenities, but pluses include a deep, well-maintained pool large enough to do laps, stained-wood floor clean enough to eat off, across Katella from the Anaheim Gardenwalk dining-shopping center, and a 3/4-mile walk to the Conference Center (3 Anaheim blocks, which are LONG). Staff were friendly and helpful. If we're in Anaheim again for a conference, we'd definitely stay here again.

Motel close to AnaheimPosted Aug 8, 2014
I did not like this motel, nor will I ever come back. The room was dirty and outdated. One of the sheets had burn marks on it. They did not have a "Do Not Disturb" sign I could put on the door. The bathroom was big though which was nice. Overall, I did not like this hotel and I would not recommend it to anyone.
