No Air Conditioning??????Posted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: Not much
Location: San Clemente has some great restaurants, Had Tangine at Village Rest. and it was amazing. Oh, they had AC. SC cafe is amazing. Great staff.
Totally miserable experience. Our room was 95°+ degrees for the two nights (days) we were there. The building was heat soaked. We couldn't even stay in the room during the day, it was like a sauna. At night, with all the windows open, it was 80°+. Yes, it was a heat wave with high humidity, but this is the 21st century. AC was invented long ago. Nowhere in their ads do they say no "AC." I suppose that from now on, I will have to ask each hotel, "Do you have AC?, Do you have Hot Water?, Do you have Cold Water?" Wanted a memorable experience for my wife's birthday, we certainly got it. Don't get me started on the train noise. Or the block of ice that was supposed to be our fridge. We couldn't even make ice cubes to help us escape from the heat. Or the ceiling f ans with only one speed: low. Get the picture?

Perfect locationPosted Sep 1, 2014
Not cheap but very good value for a beachfront location within walking distance of beach, pier and central shops and restaurants. Perhaps slightly dated decor but spacious 1 bed apartment, plentiful storage, good size living room/diner and well equipped kitchenette, with coffee maker, microwave and dishwasher and laundry facilities onsite for modest cost. Beach towels and chairs available free of charge as was gated car park. We did not use owners lounge or jacuzzi but they were available while room made ready for check in. There are some activities laid but we did not use them. All staff were friendly and helpful. Not too noisy from road or train but could hear some stomping from room above. No aircon but cool enough with windows open and fans on.

Nice hotel, good overall valuePosted May 11, 2014
Can't even hear train after first night. These are actually time share condos that they rent out in off weeks.

I'd stay there again.Posted May 5, 2014
Waterfront property, view of the ocean from the balcony, fireplace in the living room. Nice little breakfast place down the street, great seafood at the base of the pier, surfing goin on, trains coming through. I'd stay there again.

Great locationPosted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: Great location, beach equipment for guest use, and plenty of room for our family of 4 in the condo.
Cons: The furniture in the living room wasn't spotless- it could probably use a good steam cleaning!
Location: The beach is wonderful right by the hotel and there are many restaurants not far away.
This hotel is very close to the beach and the location made it easy for us to enjoy the area without doing too much driving. We also loved that they have beach toys, umbrellas, towels, chairs, and more for guests to use free of charge.

Great spot close to the beach and bike trailsPosted Apr 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
My wife and I took the train down to San Clemente from LA and stayed at this great spot. The rooms are quite spacious and comfortable. The front desk has a nice selection of DVDs available for rent, and the staff are quite friendly. There is a nice hot tub on the roof of the complex with nice views of the beach. There are also daily activities in a lounge on the top floor, including crafts for kids and margaritas for adults. Overall, a great spot to stay. Didn't notice the train noise at all, but maybe bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Also would highly recommend bringing your bicycle (you can take them on the train for free), as there are many trails and bike lanes along the coast.

Noisy nightsPosted Feb 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
Nice spot. However, very noisy at night. The train tracks are about 100 feet away, and about every half hour a train goes by, horn blaring, and crossing bells ringing. Also lots of noise from delivery trucks and drunks in the public parking lot across the street.

No question about a superior location!!! However, the facility is very tired looking and feels dark and gloomy. Probably will not return simply because... Must recognize that the staff was attentive and friendly.

not what I thoughtPosted Feb 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
My husband and I Go away once a month usually to San Clemente and when I booked this I was under the impression I booked ocean view. The lady said I could see the ocean from part of the balcony. Well being from San Diego and having an ocean view in San Diego I tend to have high standards for what I consider ocean view and this wasnt. There are several other places we could have stayed which would have been more reasonable and provided a complete ocean view from my room. The hotel was very clean and very well kept because it is a time share.
