Everything you'd hope for

The hotel offered everything you would want in an ideal beach vacation. The pool area was awesome and you can't beat the distance to the beach and Main Street/pier. We loved it

Great location, well managed, price ok

Posted May 20, 2015
Pros: Pool environment is very nice. View of the ocean, with palm trees and plenty of pool chairs.
Cons: Night security leader needs training on how to engage guests in a brief manner. He was pleasant, just did not know when to stop talking.
Location: Excellent location, could not be better.
Location is excellent, right on Pacific Coast Highway which is on the beach, and a short walk to main street and the Huntington Beach Pier. One hour from the airport leaving 6am on a Monday morning. Overall beach/surf culture and environment of this city are excellent. Safe environment, very few questionable characters, with police presence and clear control. Pricing of the hotel was competitive or cheaper than the other major resort (Hyatt) which is next to this one. Staff are well managed, with the exception of the evening security guy who insisted on telling us his life story and simply did not know when to stop. Guests don't want this when they have precious time to take a vacation.

three days at the beach

Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: location
Cons: Without tearing down and modernizing, maybe provide more inclusive things, such as free wifi. Imagine that! Hard to compete with the Hyatt next door!
Location: Beach is right across PCH. Its a quarter mile down from Main street.
Upon arrival we upgraded to a ocean view which was on the 12th , top , floor. Parking is Valet only, and is a pain each time you want to go somewhere. Bring lots of cash for the Valet. The pool area is small for a resort. Location to Huntington pier is nice. But you either need to take the free shuttle and wait to come back on it. The walk is probably around a quarter mile. Parking out on PCH is meter parking and is $ 1.50 per hour. The three days were enjoyable but for the money would not stay here again. I felt like I could get more bang for my buck somewhere newer and more up to date.

Fantastic Hotel for a beach vacation!

Posted May 3, 2015
Pros: Location, cleanliness, and ammenities were just what I would expect for the price!
Cons: If you added a reasonably priced Spa you could attract another Group of Guests. With an added Spa style menu it would rock!
Location: The Huntington Beach pier, shopping, food and drinks on Mainstreet. A short bike ride to Newport Beach! Bon fires on the beach!
The hotel location is perfect! Easy walk across the street to the beach or down a few blocks to Main Street and the Pier! Had dinner at Dukes and Sandys- can't beat the fresh seafood! Had dinner and drinks outside at the hotel patio, they even had a guitar player performing! The girls at the Coffee/ Surf shop were friendly and warm and my latte was just right. We rented bikes and rode to Newport Beach. Had lunch at the Flying Fish, excellent food! The staff member who rented the bikes was really attentive, helpful and kind- Thanks Ramil! I will be back!
