Beyond a great experience here!Posted Oct 10, 2014
Pros: The staff goes out of their way to help! The hotel is clean and the rooms are roomy and fresh, almost every room overlooks the pristine beach.
Cons: I can't think of a thing. It was marvelous.
Location: You're across the street from a beautiful beach, there's beach activity, pool, gym, bike riding, and a great town center just up the street.
Upon my receiving confirmation of a reservation for an upcoming anniversary trip, I decided to write back to the person in charge of guest services, who signed the confirmation letter. I asked him how I might "rev up" this surprise anniversary trip to my husband - if he had any suggestions. He wrote back that he'd upgrade our room. What a generous and gracious effort! This was just the beginning to a perfect stay in a gorgeous room, where the bellman also had a hand at presenting his own brand of welcome for us. We felt like royalty. I noticed that they treated all their guests with a similar kindness. Our stay was in October, so definitely not the height of beach vacations, and that may have been a factor resulting in our fortunate luck! But I've learned it pays to be nice and to take advantage of what may be offered for travel. What a great experience the Waterfront Hotel was! This was a superb hotel, and we will recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect beach stay.

Best staff everPosted Oct 6, 2014
I've traveled quite a bit and this hotel staff was by far the best anywhere I've stayed--including many 5-star hotels. The only thing is like to see different is the coffee maker in the room. Otherwise, the room was spotless and perfect. Very nice and comfortable decor as well which lenses to the very comfy abvience.

Birthday celebrationPosted Oct 6, 2014
Lovely hotel & very clean! Biggest bummer was that the huge hotel only had a jacuzzi to accommodate 7 at a time! I think it's time to step it up & get another jacuzzi installed or expand existing amenity!!

Very nice hotel. Close to many fun attractionsPosted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: The ambiance. The closeness to the beach.
Cons: The maid service. Wi-fi charges.
Location: Beach, dog beach, beach!!!
Our experience was great! The only compliant I have is that the 2nd to the last day of our stay the maid service staff did not clean our room! We were greatly surprised. They also wanted to charge $13 per 24 hours of wi-fi which we felt was steep. Esp since the valet charges were $30 per day. We could go to a coffee shop for free. Also, at times the channels on the TV did not work.

Lovely stayPosted Sep 14, 2014
I had a great time staying at the Waterfront Beach Resort. I had originally reserved a garden view room but I ended up with a view of the ocean as well so I was ecstatic about that! The staff are very welcoming and friendly. I was a bit disappointed that your only choice for parking was Valet because it was $32 a night. However all the staff were very friendly and took great care of our car. The hotel has in-room dining. The food was delicious but it was a little on the pricey said. The beach is right next to our hotel and is only a three minute walk. Over all, my stay here was amazing.

Nice hotel by Huntington BeachPosted Aug 28, 2014
Nice hotel right by beach and a 10 min walk to Main Street HB. valet only parking and rooms bit small. A bit expensive as a hotel but we probably pay for the beach access across from US-1

Great Location, lovely staff, beds far too smallPosted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Location, great views, staff, clean. Free chairs and towels for the beach
Cons: Larger beds
Location: Overlooking the beach although you do have to cross a road. Easy 10 mins walk to the Pier, shops and restaurants
We had a four night stay. The hotel was lovely and clean and the staff really friendly. Food was nice but limited menu The only problem was the beds were far too small, we stay in a two bed double room and they felt like more a large single

Huntington Beach AccessPosted Jul 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
Hotel is across the street from the beach, and 1/2 a mile (less than 10 minute walk) from Huntington Beach downtown. There are some shops & pretty good restaurants downtown. Hotel's location is great; and rooms are OK. We had oceanview room. One negative is the cleanliness of the room ... there was hair on the sheets & toilet, sheets & pillowcases had red stains on them. This hotel allows dogs ... we love dogs but not when they are barking from their room across the hallway at 2AM - 6AM
