“enjoyed our stay”

Our room was comfortable, and well kept. The landscaping around the building was nicely done and inviting, it made the approach to our room private. We really liked our acomodations. The hotel is one block from the ocean and across the street from a lovely resort that has open walkways with several landings providing ocean views and great landscaping down to the ocean.

Area recommendations

The whole town is very pretty and charming. The town has many nice restaurants, great shopping, and beautiful views.

“Cheap/Rundown Motel At Five-Star Prices”

With the exception of the newish carpet, this is a very dated/rundown property. The location is good and the staff is accommodating, but considering the condition of the property the rates are at least 4 times too high.

“Smell of paint”

Apparently the bathroom had just been painted and there was a strong smell of paint. The bathroom window was open when we first arrived in the room, which helped with the paint smell but defeated the air conditioning. Also, several of the light bulbs were burned out and not replaced. The door from the outside to the unit was hard to open. It would stick because it had also been painted recently

Area recommendations

I would recommend the arrea near the Main Beach in Laguna Beach, assuming that my fellow travelers could afford the rates there. Where we were wasn't a bad location. A luxury resort and beach were across the street. Also, several good restaurants were within easy walking distance.

“Good value and location.”

Great location--five minute walk to public beach. Good value for the money--not lavish but well presented and functional with helpful and friendly staff. The included breakfast was adequate.

Area recommendations

This Travelodge is located about three miles south of the center of Laguna Beach, a desirable location given the high degree of congestion in the town center, especially on holidays and weekends. We spent more time in nearby Dana Point than in Laguna Beach since the former was much less crowded and with available parking.

“Dream Location”

This was the greatest location! Right across from the beach. Beautiful area. Grocery store and CVS next store. Warm outdoor pool and hot tub. Seattles best coffee in morning and light breakfast. Super safe area. Would stay again. In fact I will be going back next year. Most comfortable king size bed I have ever slept in. Super soft pillows too. We had a wonderful stay.

“Nice hotel for decent price”

The hotel isn't the newest, and it isn't right on the beach, but the price is very good for this area. If you don't want to be right on the beach, this is a good location -right on the Pacific Coast Highway with a small shopping center just above it. The feather-top king bed was very comfortable, and the kitchenette was a nice convenience. Front desk was friendly, quick, efficient.

“Great Location”

Beach is right across the street with a path for public access. There is a Mexican restaurant, Japanese restaurant and pizza place along with a grocery store (with a Starbucks inside) within walking distance. Besides the small amount of highway noise it's a great location. The room was very large with a separate small room with stove, refrigerator and dining table. The bathroom was nice other than the shower head...it was WAY too long and being tall I had a hard time maneuvering around it. The pool was clean. They were renovating the upper floor so it was a little noisy in the morning but that should be finished soon. The complimentary breakfast was your basic coffee, tea, muffins, cereal, etc. It is located in a decent area and I felt safe there. The room was very clean. I would stay there again.
