I didn’t expect much going in as it’s on the older side of the interstate. It was however extremely clean in addition to being the best price in an area full of motel choices. I would definitely stay there again if I pass through the area.

Disappointed
I have stayed here before and had a decent time at this hotel, but this time I was disappointed because the front desk person was not friendly at all. She didn’t ask if I needed more than one key to my room. She only said the room was on the right side of the building. She also didn’t say that they didn’t serve breakfast I had to read it on a board in the lobby. Also upon checking out she didn’t offer a receipt she said you booked online and I had to ask for a receipt. It was only one night but I don’t think my family and I will be staying there again.

The room smelled like stale smoke. Was told at desk it was non smoking. Tv had lines in it. There was no breakfast that was stated on internet. Would not recommend

OK for an overnighter
Hotel needs a facelift inside and out. While bed was comfortable enough overall the place felt dingy. They appeared to be working on painting inside of some rooms and hope outside will also get some attention. Person who checked us in was lacking personality.

NOT A FAMILY PLACE!!!!
Completely disgusting. White smeared stuff on the mirrors in room, bed has white stains and burn holes, smelled like smoke although it was supposedly non smoking. We couldn’t even stay the night. Asked for a refund via Hotels.com, the Hotel refused to give a refund. I was not going to put my family in that situation, so we stayed next door at the Fairfield Inn and Suites. Do not book this place, you won’t get a refund. The lady at the check in was also completely rude. She rolled her eyes when we gave our key back and told her how it was gross.

Stay way away from this crap hole
This was absolutely the worst stay we've been ever had. Advertised breakfast, but none. Dirty stinky nasty crap hole with rude attendent. We stayed a few days earlier at another Econolodge that was great. This place needs to be torn down and replace the terrible employees.

I had to fly down south in emergency because my great grand father was put in to hospice and this was a hotel near my great grandfathers’s home. The room had chipped paint, unclean floors, squeaky bed, knocking AC which kept me up all night whenever it decided to work. I spent more time in my rental using the ac then the room I should send you guys the gas bill it also had a missing toilet seat, a broken toilet handle, it kept over flowing and water kept coming out. There were a lot flys, a broken tv, dull lights, backed up tub I had to shower in ounces of water after only 20 seconds of the water being on while showering, bugs came from under the door I felt like I was living in an episode of fear factor and but instead of winning a prize I had to pay

We want our guests to enjoy their stay and find our AC and heat amenities to be clean and in perfect working condition. Our ultimate goal is for our guests to be comfortable both in the summertime, and in the winter. Our maintenance staff has a regular schedule dedicated to checking the working order of appliances, the state of the furniture in the rooms, and bathroom fixtures. I am sorry that we failed to do this during your most recent stay. I am especially upset to hear that the situation was not addressed right away.

It took a little time to get in- someone was not hearing me knock on the door, BUT I got in, got my room and it was fine. There was some paneling off the wall- they were in the middle of renovation- no big deal.

We were returning from Florida and stayed overnight. One of the beds looked like the sheets were never changed along with super wrinkled sheets. The sink had a yellow brown stain which looked like it was never scrubbed. The room was advertised as Breakfast included which it was not.

Santee Econolodge
Friendly staff. Quick check in. Lots of choices nearby to eat. Not serving breakfast but the Huddle House down the street is excellent for breakfast. Just as good as Waffle House and a better bargain.

One of the worst experiences.
This was an inexpensive motel so we were not expecting a beautiful place, just a clean safe place to stay a night. The room was old - the floor sticky tacky, the chair for the desk sticky, The bathroom really looked like the whole thing should be remodeled - Water stains (or maybe mold stains) on the ceiling, tub was really old and showed stains just looking dirty, dirt around the caulking and floor corners. The baseboards in the bedroom needed cleaning and paint. On top of all this, the walls must be paper thin - you could hear every conversation in the next room I think the wall behind the sink area) and the man nextdoor snoring. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The only decent things about the room were the flat TV with HBO and the bed was soft and fairly comfortable.
