Good travel Hotel

My family stayed at this hotel traveling to Florida. It's a good stopping place that I would use again.

Quiet Room

Pros: Staff were very friendly.
We chose this as it was a great place to stop before getting on I95 south to Fl.

Good value for the $$

Pros: safe location - easy access to schools/resturants/medical centers
Cons: the flow of the drains inteh bathroom - ran slow even after they "addressed" it
Location: many food optionfast food chain variety......easy on/off highway. well lit and safe...we have booked this facility several times with no issue
Conveniently located to Hiway; Staff is friendly & helpful; Recent renovations to lobby – very nice; room is good sized & clean; bed comfortable; some room furnishings show signs of wear and sink drain in our room did run a tad slow….… but overall good value

Cockroach

I rarely complain about a hotel. But this time I must. I found a live cockroach on the counter where the coffee pot and glasses are. I called front desk and made sure it didn't escape until they arrived. Once they removed it, they didn't even clean or disinfect it. They just left. No apologies, nothing. NOT ACCEPTABLE!!

our final stop before reaching our final destination. It was New Years Eve and the front desk clerk made it very apparent that she was not happy working New Years Eve. Aside from that - everything else was great. The room was huge, clean and comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was very impressive and the staff very friendly. Would stay there again if needed.

Pros: I liked the beds because they were new and comfortable.
The hotel was comfortable, however, I specifically chose this hotel for the pool but it wasn't heated. That was annoying seeing I had kids who needed to swim.

One Express Holiday Please!!!!

It was awesome and very comfortable! The room was immaculately clean and amenities were all available as described. Great parking convenience! Room cleaning services were well executed.

I would not stay again. Stained cushions of seats on chairs so gross I wouldn't sit without covering them with a towel, no hot water following morning had to take a cold shower, ugh! Had to request extra blankets and received throws (small). The room key didn't work the following day. TV didn't work, notified front desk waited and waited and waited until my daughter took it upon herself to look it over and found the problem. The front desk finally called and asked us if the tv was working, even though they didn't even send anyone up to look at it??? Needless to say it was disappointing. However the breakfast was good.

I feel that, to be honest, first and foremost, my wife an I were disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. When the light came through the window in the morning you could see that the refrigerator door and the fronts of the room furniture were filthy and clearly not wiped regularly. The bathroom door had streak marks down the door. Most disappointing was the fact that the first morning of our stay there was no hot water to take a shower. I must report, however, that the complaints about the water issue made an impact and the problem was resolved by evening as we had hot water the next morning for shower. The staff were very friendly and showed concern about the problem. However, our biggest complaint was simply that the room was not clean. I saw only two staff members assigned to cleaning the entire floor, perhaps the time allotted to clean each room was not enough. I have stayed in Holiday Inn Expresses often without complaining, but this one I would have to say is at the bottom of our list. Paid quite a bit of money to stay in a dirty suite. Will not stay there again.
