Ok for one nightPosted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: The staff
Location: Near interstate, gas station and places to eat.
Hotel was ok for a quick one night stay. I wouldn't recommend staying longer, the room smelled, the walls are paper thin and the room was unclean. Staff was nice and plesant during check in and check out.

Friendly, Okay for a nightPosted Aug 4, 2014
There are no bells and whistles here, just a decent room to sleep in. They were very friendly at the front desk when I checked in. The room was better on the inside than the outside portrays. There was a fridge and microwave available in the room - super convenient!

Our 2 day stay at the Howard Johnson Hotel in Orangeburg, SC was good. The hotel facilities were OK for an older building. Everything was well kept and clean. The staff members were friendly, helpful and courteous. I would readily recommend this hotel to others.

Whole experience in town was bizarrePosted Jun 27, 2014
So I ordered an additional bed for my room. The guy forgot, and the night manager was a woman with a cane. So I had to move my own bed from some storage room and bring it down the stairs to my room... DO not go to the Mc Donalds down the street, astonishingly bad service...

Run Away!Posted Jun 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
My family and I were on a road trip and we stopped in Orangeburg for the night. We booked this hotel and when we arrived I could not believe the condition. First, we booked a "non-smoking" room, and the room was designated "non-smoking" on the entry, however the room smelled like stale cigarettes and there were cigarette burns on the top of the television, which, by the way, was of the "tube" variety. The carpets were stained and the light over the bathroom sink was not working. Since we already paid and it was late and the kids were tired we stayed anyways. The shower was old and disgusting, although the shower head was new. I've stayed at other "motel" quality establishments for half the price that were much better than this. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
