Unsuspecting comfort
The outside was having work done, and I was unsure at first but the rooms were clean and I can tell that the hotel has made strides to update the rooms and make them comfortable. The from desk manager was great, the service staff were attentive and accessible, and I can tell they are working hard to get this hotel up from where it used to be.

Loved it.
Great location right off interstate 95, plenty of places to eat. The staff are very helpful and friendly, it was peaceful and quiet! The lady at the front desk went out of her way to help me, I didn’t get her name but I assume she works the evening shift as I checked in around 3 P.M. I was only going to stay one night but it was so comfortable I stayed two. Thank you too all the staff for being so nice.

Needs some Quality Control and Desk Management
Visible damage in the room, like a cigarette burn hole in an ottoman in a no-smoking room. Damage to the nightstand and no alarm clock. No coffee maker, but they brought me one. No iron, but i didn't need it. King bed was comfortable, nice changeable shower head controls. Plugs for dryer will a little damaged. Overall, everything worked. The housekeeper said they were moving stuff in and out of rooms. The TV was installed incorrectly, but I fixed it. They just need some quality control with a checklist to make sure the rooms have everything they tout on the description. No elevators, neither 1st or 2nd floor ice maker, near my room, was working. Didn't check any other ones. Was concerned when I checked out the next day at 9:15, that no one was at the front desk. I rang the bell, but no one came. I was prepaid, so I left the key, but will check my credit card to ensure nothing else was charged.

Never ever AGAIN
Do not stay. I repeat do not stay. Customer service terrible. Bathroom no shower curtain and dirty shower. And then better dies in the door and we couldn’t get in our room. Management asked my husband did he lock the door from the inside?? Huh? I repeat, DO NOT STAY!!!!

It's old
Old tired hotel that needs major renovation or needs to be torn down. Pool was closed. Clerk says pump broken for over a year. Ice machine, broken. Room numbers unreadable. Painted tin cans on outside walls serving as ash trays. TV and AC worked. Bed was clean so for 60 bucks I got what I paid for. The clerk was kind enough to switch my room when I inadvertently booked a smoking room.

The bathroom was not very clean. There was urine stains on the toilet. Hair in the shower. The shower curtain was not long enough so the water wet the floor. The room was very dusty. There was dust all on the walls. The customer service was great. The area was great. The cleanliness of the room was not.

The building was run down, pool was closed. Mask was required to enter the lobby so i could check in. The name of the hotel is Clarion but the sign had Rodeway Inn on it. Made it very confusing. The sheets and blanket in my room seemed clean, same with the bathroom. But the lounge chair and ottoman looked dirty. The room had a bad odor. I did not see any roaches but previous reviews say that there is some. I was there only 1 night and i was thankful for that.

We only stayed one night instead of 2 and the owner wouldnt let us check out at 10am so that we could get a refund for the 2nd day. Bathroom floor was dirty, curtians and lamp shade were dirty. Cloth chair had stains all over it.

This is a neglected former Howard Johnson’s. Besides us there were maybe 4 other rooms used. Our first rooms bathroom was unusable. We got another room. It did not have any towels. They do have a price rate in the rooms for removing, towels, coffee makers, iron, ironing board, sheets, pillows etc. parking lot look like it has not had any maintenance in YEARS. We do NOT recommend this to anyone

For the price!!! Your better off looking elsewhere l! Place have an unbearable smell and It was cringy dirty! It had bugs!!! I had trouble sleeping all night due to safety concerns. I keep hear people outside my door. The only reason why my kids and I stayed is because I was so exhausted from driving all day. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. At all cost!!

This place was run down so bad i felt like i was in a third world war zone. It was nasty, ice machine out of order, no electrical outlets worked for plugging up your boat to charge batteries. The ceilings coming apart, drapes broken, carpet absolutely disgusting, place looked nasty allover, sheets had lint and dirt in them. Never ever would i stay there again nor would i ever tell anyone to stay there. Needs to be bull dozed.

Horrible place. Would have left if i could have canceled Dirty, vanity for sink totaly broken,tv not working,phone broken, So bad we slept in our clothes and left after a few hours. Stay away from this dump.

Modest but pleasing
Just needed a place to sleep during long distance travel. This place fit the bill, easy access, clean comfortable room & bed. The AC unit was loud & tripped on & off frequently. Turned it off for better sleep.

The desk was very busy. They didn’t have enough help. The staff did the best they could. We were supposed to have a nonsmoking room. The sign outside the room said nosmoking but the room reeked of smoke. There were ashes on the mini fridge!! The sink didn’t drain. I would have left except we had been traveling for 12 hours and were exhausted. Needless to say I didn’t sleep well!

The property was worn. The toilet was not secured to the floor. The door handle was loose and the key card was inconsistent with door lock. Neighbors were loud. Staff as very friendly and helpful. Parking was convenient. Lots of options in the area for food and fuel. Right off the interstate. Price was good.

The refrigerator had a spill from the previous guest that wasn’t cleaned. There were no cups for water or coffee. There was no tissue or extra toilet paper. The sink didn’t drain properly. I expect more for $90.

Bathroom was gross, toilet ran non stop, shower head was pulled out of the wall, and the tub felt like the bottom of it was going to fall through. Sink drain was clogged, chair and ottoman looked like they hadn’t been cleaned EVER. Also, the lady at the front desk took 30 minutes and three phone calls to figure out how to check in an online reservation. After I showed her on my phone that the Cathie had gone through, she continued to say my card had been declined and even walked to my room later that night and demanded cash from my girlfriend stating that she had run two cards and both were declined. Totally untrue and unprofessional. Not to mention the people in the room next door who were obviously selling drugs out of the room. Countless cars coming and going all night from the same Room staying for 4 or 5 minutes at once. Entirely don’t recommend and will never stay here again. Doesn’t even deserve one star

Safe and clean in Santee
This is a no frills motel off of I-95 at the Santee, SC exit. It is clean, inexpensive, and the staff especially the front desk, are extremely helpful and friendly. Try Craig’s deli across the highway for a really good sandwich. You don’t expect hot pastrami on the road in SC!

You get what you pay for.
The hotel is older. They keep it clean. Pool was half empty and locked. Staff was friendly. On site bar/restaurant was convenient. Not bad for the price.
