Maintenance needed otherwise goodPosted Mar 25, 2012 on Hotels.com
Have stayed here 2x now and in 6 months it has become quite shabby in areas, eg. bleach stains on the carpets outside our room, radio not working, threadbare carpets at entrance, edging rails around tiles in spa missing leaving very sharp edges, however even with these faults it is a lovely place to chill out, the thalassotherapy pools are really good, but if you are having spa treatments it isn't as relaxing as it could be as it is very cold in the basement. The breakfast has a good selection, and is replenished if needed, the restaurant for dinner is very good, al a carte is expensive, almost 300euros for 4 of us, but we didn't stint ourselves in anyway, set menus are much cheaper and looked lovely. Our room this time was quite small, but adequate, last time was much better. Wifi signal was very weak

Typical one or two star seaside hotel with basic but clean rooms. Small tv in the room without international programmes.

Good place but needs polishPosted Aug 9, 2011 on Hotels.com
This is a great place considering the ocean views of almost all the rooms and the addition of the spa package with your stay. The spa is really great and very clean. However, some of the staff are not super friendly to tourists, especially if you don't speak perfect spanish. And the hours for the hotel restaurant are ridiculous, especially when you consider that there are zero dining options within walking distance during lots of the times we wanted to eat. It's also very close to San Sebastian if you are looking for a nice cheap room close to SS but want some peace from the party scene there in summer.

Spa Escape by the beachPosted Jul 9, 2011 on Hotels.com
Getting to this hotel isn't hard but driving through the time is rather depressing. It is an old factory town. With that said, the hotel is very nice, the spa area is clean, but the staff is stiff and not welcoming. The food in the dining room, however, was good and was included with our room price, as was the use of the spa area. It is off the beaten track, but next to a beach, so it does break up the time at the hotel. The town itself has nothing to offer.
