Nice resort for the price.

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: The pool and outside area were nice.
Cons: The resort should offer more shuttles/time to the surrounding theme parks.
Location: Universal Studios is only about a 10 minute drive from the Avanti resort.
My overall experience was good. The outside hot tub was out of use for one of the nights, which was inconvenient. There are a lot of restaurants around within a 10-15 minute walk so you'll have a variety of options to choose from.

Good value for the money.

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Location: Lots of restaurants within walking distance, GO-karting, waterpark, shuttles to Disney.
Nice poolside area. Hotel rooms were reasonable. Bathrooms could use updating. Wouldn't allow charging to room without ID so that was a bit of a pain. Lots of places to walk to on International Drive. Friendly front house staff. Good amenities. Good value for the money.

Perfect location

Posted Feb 22, 2015
Pros: Pool area
Cons: The lighting in the room.
Location: Amazing location, it is close to everything and there is a trolly to take you to locations on International Drive.
The room was poorly lit, you could open the blinds during the day but at night time it became an issue. We asked the concierge and hotel staff about Disney transportation and they all provided negative and wrong information about it. It appeared they did not want us to go there, despite the only reason for me going was to present at a conference. The transportation to and from Disney and Universal is nice but the times can be inconvenient, but its free so not much to complain about and it is not set up through the hotel. The pool and cafe are really nice. The pool side bar is also very nice.

Convenient hotel right on International Drive

Posted Feb 22, 2015
Pros: Great rates.
Cons: No breakfast is included, and the breakfast available is expensive.
Stayed here for a conference down the street on International Drive. Great location near all of the restaurants. Free parking. Room was very spacious.

Terrible rooms

Posted Feb 20, 2015
The rooms are very Noisy 24 hours. I asked for changing the room, and they handed me the ear plugs as I couldn't afford a better room. The interior is dirty (dusty) in general: bed sheets, floor and etc.

Very nice hotel. We only spent the nights there but the room was always clean and had a great location in terms of restaurants and night life.

Convenient location

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: great location, close to many restaurants, public shuttles, there's walgreens within 300 ft from the hotel... so it's convenient!!
Cons: more shuttle to and from the parks
Location: Convenient!!! Close to many places. few steps from Friendly's but Not that great!!!!
I stayed there for 5 nights which for that, you would think they would put me in a nicer room. first, they chose one on the 3rd floor facing the highway so the noise is unpleasant. then the next morning, my son noticed water leaking thru the window. I mentioned it to the front desk, they were nice about and able to accommodate me with another room. The girl got me all excited saying that it's a better room, first floor, better view facing the pool, wider bathroom as their bathrooms are so tiny!!!! So I grabbed all my stuff and went to the new room until I realized I couldn't open the door, BECAUSE someone is in there. It has been occupied already!!!! that was so embarrassing!!!! I went back to the front desk and she's like they don't have anything and I had already left my key in the first room as they told me, So my stuff were at the reception area. Then she was able to find me another room which was also on the 3rd floor worse than the first room. all the way in the corner. there's also a leak right in front of the room. It was such a disappointment. but I didn't want this to ruin my stay. Overall, they clean the room everyday. They charge about $9 additional per night for the extra amenities which include the use of the pool in the summer, the gym, the wifi (which it didn't work well) and the shuttle to the Universe Studios and Epcot at a scheduled time which you need a ticket from the concierge if you consider using it.
