Lovely complex close to all attractions

Just returned from a great stay at the Blue Heron Beach Resort. Cons - furniture in the apartment was looking a little tired and room lay out regarding sleeping arrangements is a little unusual. Pros - excellent location for all theme parks with a supermarket and restaurants within walking distance. Extremely clean resort, the pool, public areas etc were always spotless as was the apartment. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would stay here again

Home-like hotel

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: The lake view. The amenities. The location
Cons: More guided directions around the parking lot/hotel(i.e. arrow here to lake, arrow to pool, etc)
Location: Location is perfect for Disney travel. Dunkin and Walgreens, public supermarket nearby
Our main destinations were at Disney World and Universal. Do not expect luxury if you are going to stay here. If you are looking for a stay closer to a homely atmosphere, this resort is for you/your family. The hotel is close to theme parks and offers complimentary shuttle to Disney. It is right across Walgreens and close to Dunkin Donuts. We had a great view of the lake. You can cook all you want and do laundry as well. For the price and our length of stay, my hard earned money definitely was worth being spent here.

Great for families

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Spacious suite and its fully equipped kitchen.
Cons: The twin beds in one of the rooms make annoying noise whenever you move while in bed. Needs to replace the mattress.
Location: Close to downtown disney and disney theme parks. There is a Walgreens right across from the hotel.
We had five adults and two kids staying at the deluxe suite and it was very spacious! The moment we walked in the suite we were very pleased by the size and the condition of the suite was decent. The kitchen is fully equipped so you just need to bring cooking oil, salt, etc and you can make breakfast for the family before heading out. The location is very close to the theme parks so it is very convenient.

Good for the price

Posted Aug 16, 2014
I did not appreciate being roped into a resort/timeshare "free breakfast deal" upon my arrival. I pulled up to the check-in area to have a rapid check-in with my family waiting in the car and had to listen to this long "let's make a deal" spiel. Not cool. Waste of time.

Great resort next to Disney

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Perfect place for those going to Disney without staying at a Disney resort. Cost is much less with reliable shuttles to Disney. Rooms are nice. Could be better equipped in the kitchen. No housekeeping but washer/dryer provided in the room. Convenient stores and restaurants nearby. Kids lived the bunk bed and pool. Taxi to Universal Studios runs about $30. Would stay again.

Homey feeling with plenty of space

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Lots of space, pleasant decor, and full kitchen at a price far lower than if we'd stayed in the Disney complex. We would happily return.
Cons: Stop waking guests every morning (approx 10 am) with a LOUD leaf blower in the (open air) hallway. Provide shampoo and hair conditioner in rooms.
Location: The hotel is VERY close to a Disney World entrance. Lots of local eateries, other activities, and a few supermarkets also nearby.
We loved our suite (1 bedroom, bunk bed tucked in hallway alcove, and living/dining/kitchen, 2 bathrooms). It was well-equipped, clean, and had a lovely view.
