This location is near International Drive (a short walk), so there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We also visited Icon Park, also within walking distance. The gentleman at the desk for check in was very friendly. The room was nice - no complaints. The only reason I am giving a 4 star is the hot tub - it felt about the same temperature as the pool, slightly warmer, but definitely not hot tub temperature. After being in the car for over 3 hours, waiting at the airport, delayed flights, lots of walking....we were looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub. However, everything else was worth the stay at this location.

This is an older property, but they are renovating. Our room was beautiful, but the breakfast area was chaotic get there early. If we were planning to do Universal, we would stay here again, but its farther away from Disney than we liked.

We are choice Hotels Gold program members, but this time reserved through Expedia. From the front desk at check-in through a sorry check out experience, staff members made it quite clear we were ‘budget’ clients, and supplied hospitality services with what seemed like an INTENT to embarrass us. The most onerous occasion was at check out, when I was delayed 30 minutes after a business meeting, and my wife was told that she had no option but to vacate the room - the front desk made it clear the slightly later check out would have been easily granted had we checked in thru the Choice Hotels site. Just my opinion, but I think that if choice Hotels intends to degrade individuals who use one of the lower cost services that help you fill your unsold rooms - you should advise customers of that fact - OR cease using such services - and eat the added cost of unsold rooms.

My reservation was for a king size bed and our room had 2 queen size beds. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The breakfast was very good, wide assortment from scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, fruit, yogurt. Coffee was good and waffles were filling and hot. Plenty of seating inside and outside.

The hotel appears very old on the inside. Our room was constantly humid/damp feeling in the air even with the AC set to 65. There was a constant drip from the bathtub faucet. The first day they cleaned up our room and made bed, etc. Second day they did the same but didn't replace the washrags they took. Third day they took all towels/washrags/bathmat and didn't replace any of it, didn't clean the room, make the beds, or empty trash. I called to ask for more towels, front desk said they would be brought, they never were (even hours later). I had to go to the front desk to get them myself. Overall it was an incredibly okay hotel. A clean bed to sleep in while visiting Universal Studios. I will spend more money to stay somewhere else next time I visit Orlando.

Stayed 1 night for a weekend trip to Universal. Very conveniently located. We had issues with our bathroom immediately - shower wouldnt drain, toilet wouldnt flush. Assistance was sent very quickly and everything fixed but by morning we had the same exact things happen. It wasnt dirty, but I also wouldn't recommend based on cleanliness, there was definitely room for improvement. Best qualities were the large rooms with fridge & microwave and a very nice continental breakfast.

Staff was nice, I was on the 5th floor and it just smelled the carpet on floor coming out the elevator smells like old socks. The room was clean though but very outdated. There was construction going on so I got in at 4:30am to be woken up at 7:15am by the construction going on at the hotel. It has potential with the right management and attention to detail on cleaning.

Front desk staff were very nice. Breakfast was just ok. We were only there two days but the breakfast was identical. Sausage and eggs as the hot items. Waffles. Not a lot of other options. Beds weren’t super comfortable. Parking was good and it was in a quiet place. The elevator was sooooo slow. I’m usually a stair person but The stairs are very inconveniently located so the elevator is the only option if you don’t want to walk a thousand steps every time you go up or down.

The employees are incredible. My family has stayed here twice in two years. Both times we were impressed. The only drawbacks are the elevators are slow and there is quite a bit of noise from the hallway.

The room generally smelled musty and the cabinet where the mini fridge was located smelled rotten. We also found roaches all around the mini fridge and behind its cabinet. Not impressed.
