Very basic but ok for an overnight stay.

Posted May 21, 2015
We booked a two day pass for the parks and decided to stay at the Disney Resort Movies, hotel/room was very basic ok for an overnight stay. The best thing was the bus's to and from the parks which was included within the price, as well as free car parking at the hotel itself. Staff were friendly and we did not need to que for long to check in or out. No tea or coffee within the room, not even a kettle!! We found a vending machine which was a little over priced just as the restaurants and shops, but we had ice so made the most of it. If you are looking for Disney gifts try Walmart T-shirts with Mickey Mouse only $13 so save your money and shop before you go.

Pros: Everything except
Cons: The food!, we threw our breakfast away bread was stale hard edges! Our sandwiches for lunch was not good bun stale ate a couple of bites threw it away
Location: Downtown Disney, blizzard. Beach miniature golf. Universal studios.
Our experience from the time we landed at the airport until we left to go back home was great! Everyone from Disney experience shuttle at the airport to check in at the hotel was excellent! We had every question answered and the staff at the hotel was very polite and friendly!

Great for families with small kids

Posted May 16, 2015
Our family of 4 which includes two kids under the 5 loved this resort! We stayed in the hotel section with the Toy Story characters and it was perfect for our small kids. We also loved the pool access. The staff was amazingly helpful and attentive. The only two minor things that we didn't like was our air conditioner wouldn't make our room really cool; it was comfortable but my husband really wanted to crank it down after a hot day at the park. We stayed at another Disney resort a few years ago and it was the same way. It was a minor concern. The only other minor thing was that when we were at the pool they had someone on a loud speaker coordinating games for the pool guests the whole time. Some people may have enjoyed it but we couldn't really understand what they were saying and it was just noisy when we were hoping to relax. Again, these are both minor and as thoroughly enjoyed our time. The front desk staff and concierge were fantastic!

In few words, the Hotel is ok.

Posted May 15, 2015
Pros: The environment is so nice and the people is very kind, plus the abailabilty of the transportation to the parks is excelent.
Cons: Definetively they must improve the menú of the food court.
Location: The location is ok for me is perfect if you want to be away of the routine
I just have an advice, They should diversify the menú of the food court because in my case I was 10 days and all the days they have the same to food it became somethig boring. For the rest i think everything was ok

Good overall experience. Nothing too special, but hey, we were there for Disney world and looking for a place to sleep to be ready for the next day. Food was great, but recommend the meal plan. Pool was a little crowded, but provided life vests/beach ball for us and showed movies every night @ 830p

Mediocre. And way too much money to be Mediocre.

Pros: Not a whole lot. OK pool. Convenient dining. "Disney Resort" perks.
Cons: Theming (Do any kids really know what the movies "Love Bug" or "Mighty Ducks" are?), Quality of Rooms, Price for Quality
Location: Disney Transportation (but if you have a car, it's probably easier to drive to the parks). Close to the only McDonalds.
Checked in at 10:30a. Room won't be ready until 3p (they say they will text us when the room is ready), so we decide to hit the pool for a bit. Pool is nice for kids. We eat lunch which is super convenient. We walked around to see the "themes" of the hotel. A giant Buzz Lightyear is very cool. Fun pictures. That's about all this hotel has. We didn't get a text by 2:30p, so we just go to the theme parks. At 10:30p, we head back to the hotel. Still never got a text about what room we are in. We have to call and they spend 9 minutes to find out. They give us a number. We have to ask what theme, what building, etc. Disappointed. Then we get to our room and our Magic Bands don't work to open the door. We have to call again. They spend 15 minutes on phone trying to figure it out, until the desk just sends a woman to let us in. The room: We asked for a King bed and received two twin beds. Another letdown. We stay one night at a Disney resort to see if we like it, and so far, it's a bust. For the money, it was not worth it. The room itself was akin to a motel. I've stayed at much nicer Holiday Inns. There was very little Disney things in the room to make it special. The beds were not conformable. Overall dated rooms. And we could hear every little thing happening around us. You get Disney perks (like your credit card attahed to the Magic Band, Disney bus transit, etc) but that's about it. Either splurge and stay at a nicer resort, or another near by resort.
