“Great for kids”
While our king-sized bed took up much of the small room, the hotel had an abundance of great activities for the kids. Who goes to Disney to sit in a room anyway?
“One outstanding hotel”
This was my second visit to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I adore this hotel. The staff is very efficient. The hotel is immaculate. The fitness center has state of the art equipment and you can eat off the locker room floor. It has so many activities for children. There are many fabulous hotels to stay at in Orlando. However, I feel that the Animal Kingdom Lodge is unique and has everything I could ask for in a hotel.
“Hotel this size should have a convenient store”
I like it general but would be better of they provide more amenities
“What you'd expect from Disney”
Hotel is well, kept, clean and staff are very helpful. My 7 year old said, "It's not every day you look out your bedroom window and see 4 giraffes". Very happy with hotel stay. The following are areas of improvement for Disney as a whole, not this particular hotel, but they do affect you if you're going to vacation here: They need a better selection of food, especially for kids. There's only so many burgers and chicken nuggets a kid can eat. Bus intervals seem to have gotten very irregular. Anywhere between 5 and 40 minutes depending on the park and time of day. It's not every 20 minutes as stated. On a couple of occasions for a 5 night stay it was closer to 30-40 minutes.
“Great Vacation”
Always stayed at All Star Resorts, wanted something different for the kids. Upgrade to the Savannah view, it is worth it. Was there for Christmas decorations, the lobby looked great.
“Animal Kingdom Lodge”
Really nice. Excellent staff. Fabulous wildlife.
“Peaceful resort”
This was my 3rd time to stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and it was still just as great as the other times. This resort is very quiet and comfy compared to many of the other Disney resorts I've stayed at. Very spacious rooms with wonderful service. Our animal view was outstanding this trip. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!
“A wonderful hotel and resort with tons to see and do.”
The hotel and resort are magnificent. If I had known that Animal Kingdom Lodge was so much more than a hotel, we wouldn't have pre-arranged so many days of park-hopping. Every morning, were were greeted by the animals! Amazing! All we had to do was stand on our balcony to see the marvelous animals. The pool area is beautiful. Everyday, there are many fun activities for children and adults at Animal Kingdom Lodge. The staff are friendly and helpful. If we return to Orlando, we definitely will stay at Animal Kingdom and spend more time at the lodge itself, rather than heading to the theme parks daily.
“Middle of the Road”
Small room and overwhelming smell of cleaner-trying-to-cover-urine smell the whole time. Overall, I think the resort is pretty cool-checking in, the people were wonderful. What really irritated me was I upgraded to the concierge level and one night while driving back to the resort, I called the concierge desk to get a reservation at the restaurant INSIDE the resort and no one would pick up! I ended up calling the front desk twice and twice they couldn't get anyone. There was no way to call directly to the restaurant. I kept getting put into the overall Disney dining loop. I arrived back at the resort and went right up to the concierge level and there they were, just sitting there, typing on the computer, not talking to anyone, not answering the phone. Same thing happened on checkout when we wanted to get our bags taken down. No concierge help (again wouldn't pick up the phone) and when I called the bellhop directly on the phone I was put on hold for 15 minutes! I got so irritated that I put my husband on the phone and went down to the bellhop desk. Again, standing there, not helping anyone (but always busy on the computer). I was irate at this point and they acted so blase about the whole thing. My husband was still on the phone when I went back to the room. They finally picked up and said "your wife has already told us." That was it, no apology or explanation. My recommendation is to not pay the extra for concierge because the level of help is not anything special.
“Our favorite Disney resort”
The grounds, restaurants, pool, lobby and gift shop are the best in Disney.
