Lovely hotel - not enough choice of restaurantsPosted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: The pool, the conservation bead activities, the animals.
Cons: Need a mid range restaurant on site and much more seating provision as booking a table at a sensible time proved difficult.
Loved the hotel, the staff, the cleanliness, the pool. The only drawback was the choice of restaurants and how busy they became. It seemed that the prices were very expensive in two restaurants and very cheap in the other - no middle ground.

Great and interesting hotelPosted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: Very Attractive, animal viewing, good choice of eating places.
Very interesting hotel where you can view wildlife. The rooms were attractive and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a very well run hotel. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to everyone. I really enjoyed the Magical Disney Express where they bought your bags to the room and delivered them to the airport for you. The staff printed out my boarding pass and checked my bag in at the hotel. I just had to go through Security and to the gate at the airport.

Okay but not worth the pricePosted Jul 21, 2014
It is a great concept to try to replicate the African Savannah in a hotel. However, the price did not justify the experience. The hotel lobby and gardens were beautiful. However the rooms were small. The restaurants were limited and expensive. The animals were well taken care of and the grounds looked good. However at the end of the day it did not justify the room price.

OkayPosted Jul 20, 2014
Average hotel. The animal theme was cute, however I thought that you would be able to see more animals. Our room was a parking lot view. Possibly because i purchased on hotels.com. It was nice how the pool was open until 11. They also had a tasty restaurant by the pool.

Great place to stay in Disney WorldPosted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: The proximity to the park, the ambience, and the animals. The pool and water slide were wonderful.
Cons: The rooms could be a bit larger?
Location: Disney parks, miniature golf, water parks.
We took our grand kids for a 2 night stay. They loved having the animals so close by. Staying on a Disney property is so convenient. The room was small but adequate. Very little time is spent in the room itself. The restaurant offerings were convenient and child friendly.

WonderfulPosted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: The ambiance, the free cultural activities, the free night viewing of the animals and the peace and quiet.
Cons: The pool was small and boring especially compared to the lobby, hotel itself and the food.
Location: far away from Magic Kingdom but close to animal kingdom. Suggest a car rental if you want to move around quickly.
Rooms are small but the staff is excellency. Warm, professional, caring. The amenities are amazing, cultural activities for the children, romantic restaurants for adults, the free night viewing of the animals, the food...everything was all high quality. I would definitely recommend this hotel again.

All I could wish forPosted Jul 14, 2014
Cons: Not much!
We had stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge once before, and I was underwhelmed. This trip, however was perfect. We were only there for one night, to attend Harambe Nights, so I asked if our room could be ready at noon. The people on the phone were not very reassuring, but when we arrived the room was not only ready, but spotlessly clean. The entire property was up to Disney standards, and the staff were (almost) all excellent.
