Little Animals

Posted Aug 19, 2014
We had booked this hotel because my son really wanted to see animals right outside his room on the lanai, but we only saw a couple roaming around. The room was small and the staff wasn't all that friendly.

This was a great hotel with plenty to do even if you don't go to the parks. Awesome overall. We will be back.

Pros: See above plus souvenir drinks cup for length of stay very good value.
Cons: Vegetarian food.
Location: Bus to all Disney parks.
Excellent Disney hotel with very good facilities. Very clean and comfortable room and large, fun pool with good water slide. Saw lots of animals in hotel grounds, they looked in good condition and well cared for. Not great food for vegetarians but Orlando generally isn't

Overpriced experience

We have recently stayed in the hotel with our kids (9 years old). The hotel entrance and lobby are are spacious and impressive. However the rooms are small, dark and claustrophobic. The bathroom (is not really a room but rather a tiny dark chamber. Thus, for a group of 4 this wasn't comfortable to say the least. Our room was facing the pool and this meant that we had a constant noise of either drumming classes, kids screaming, or pool staff cleaning the floors (at 4 am). Other cons are: 1. very few food options and pricy food. 2. the resort is quite remote, if you want to eat outside the hotel its at leaf 15 min drive 3. the food in the "fast food" restaurant was discussing - looks and tastes like school cafeteria. The pros are: 1. getting past passes in advance 2. the pool was huge and my kids loved the water slide 3. the animals around

One of the best resorts I've ever been to. Every detail of the decor both inside and outside the rooms is beautiful and thoughtful. I felt like I was in paradise.

Loved this Resort

Posted Aug 14, 2014
Pros: Location, Animals, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, Beautiful Resort!
Cons: More Buses from the Parks back to the Hotel!
Location: All Disney buses run to all Parks and Downtown Disney. Also a shuttle bus to Animal Kingdom Kidini..
Loved Animal Kingdom Lodge...animals were always outside our patio! Friendly and helpful staff, quick check-in and check-out. We enjoy all of the Disney Resort Hotels. Animal Kingdom Lodge is great for any age, with or without children.

Underrated Disney hotel

A great Disney experience! Helpful staff and incredible design / decor, you have to experience the lobby! Our room was perfect for a family with kids, with one Queen bed and a bunk bed. Our view allowed us to see zebras and giraffes, it was a delight. Highly recommended!
