Adults like it as much as children!

Loved the interesting food, playground, large lobby at Jamba house, good quality food outlets among many things. You might consider taking a cab if you are not worried about money. Buses not that fun to wait for. We will stay there again even though it is farther away. Less people infiltrating from all over because it is not as close.

Great for kids, and parents too

Overall had a great time. My room had a bit of a smoke smell, but otherwise was clean and comfy. Great views of the animals. The Internet wifi really stunk though, couldn't even send email half the time. Would definitely stay again though.

Animal kingdom kidani
Posted Jan 23, 2012
Pros: The animals
Cons: Check in
Location: Floor 3. Periphery
The room was too far a walk from the lobby. This is a design weakness of kidani village. After hours check-in was weak but other than that, the stay as excellent

NOT WORTH THE MONEY
Posted Jan 10, 2012 on Hotels.com
i don't know if it is that the Disney experience has gone down in quality overall, including the parks, and lodging, or it is just a bad weekend to travel there, but for a hotel that is so expensive, I was very disappointed with the service, lack of qualified staff and just a mediocre experience overall. I expected more from the DISNEY corporation. I've been waiting to experience their cruises, but now that I have been in the parks, i just don't think it will e worth to try the cruises either. Too bad because DISNEY has always been a MUST do and now is, not so much

Pros: The savana and animals just outside your room is great!
Cons: an extreme long walk from lobby to rooms located in an arc away from lobby in order to savanna
Very comfortable, spacious room for our family of 4. Pull out sofa is not hard or lumpy and fits 2 and a second pull out armchair is available as a single bed for a potential of 5 people comfortably in room. Full kitchen, washer and dryer an added plus for washing and drying wet swim suits/clothes, and keeping some milk, water and simple breakfast in the room. Very nice to have 2 bathrooms and separate room for parents. The savana and animals just outside your room is great! The room service and Saana restaurant are very good. Essentially Indian food with very fresh ingredients and toned down spiciness. Only downside, an extreme long walk from lobby to rooms located in an arc away from lobby in order to savanna. Get Disney Magical Express! It take a lot of hassle out of airport luggage check-in and makes the airport to hotel transition seamless.

Animal Kingdom - Pick your room!
Posted Jan 16, 2012
Pros: The atmosphere and safari feel
Cons: The long walk to our room.
Animal Kingdom Lodge is an awesome experience for all. We have young kids that were thrilled but the adults were just as happy (and in most cases even more so) to see the wildlife and stay at this resort. We stayed in Kidani Village 1 bedroom villa. Full two baths, full kitchen, and balcony overlooking the Sahara. Couple Notes: Kidani Village is a LONG trip to the lobby. Its not terrible if you are doing the trip twice a day, but if more, like using the pool, it could be a hassle. Plus Kidani village has the small lobby with no restaurants. They're in the Jambo House. The views of the Sahara and animals were good because they seem to wisely move the animals around so all guests get a chance to see different ones outside of their balcony. (We were directly in the middle of the horseshoe at Kidani) However, Jambo House or rooms near either have much more open/unrestricted views of many animals all at once roaming the property. The room we stayed at was also on the top floor. I agree with other guests reviews that the top of the trees severely impact how far you can see. You're better off near the 2nd fl that can see under the trees and farther through. However the bottom line in my opinion is this... ****Stay at the Jambo house near the lobby area with a Sahara view to experience the most convenience and superior views of the animals!**** Overall it's a great resort and excellent place to bring the kids for a vacation they'll be talking about a long time to come!
