Beach Club Visit 4/29/2015

Posted Apr 29, 2015
Pros: pool; room size w/balcony; location; food choices; the Marketplace
Cons: Updating needed in carpets, walls, bathrooms in rooms
Location: Boardwalk location has restaurants, entertainment and shopping. Location to other hotels is key for additional dining opportunities.
The Beach Club is an excellent hotel. The pool is a water park in and of itself! The staff is accommodating and friendly. The location to Epcot, Hollywood Studios and the Boardwalk is perfect.

Surprisingly good hotel

Posted Apr 25, 2015
Pros: Room view was of France and you could just hear the band playing in the UK.
Cons: They could have a cast member to keep children safe walking to the slide enterance.
Location: EPCOT is right outside the hotel. You can't get closer. We found that we could eat in a different country every night.
I have stayed with my family at many different Disney hotels in Florida. I have found that the standard generally is basic with a few frilly touches to Disneyfy them. The Beach Club is completely different. It's a proper holiday resort with great facilites. Normally on Disney holidays we spend everyday in the park but with this hotel you don't want to. You want to enjoy relaxing by the pool with a frozen margarita. We booked a garden view room which is the cheapest and we're happy to discover we had a resort view garden room. Traveling with a small baby it was perfect that we could sit on our balcony at night watching the Epcot fireworks. My older children loved the pools. All the pools have sand covered bottoms and there is an artificial beach for building sand castles etc. the lazy river is a bit too deep but they provide life jackets if you want one. The only negative is that for the main slide you have to allow your children to cross the non-resort pathway (still in Disney but open to the public) to get to the slide enterance. I would of preferred a Disney cast member to be stationed there just in case! Overall an absolutely brilliant hotel which we will definitely return too.

Dress Sense?

Posted Apr 15, 2015
We had pleasant stay, if you ignore the noisy family in the next room. The service was excellent and the staff were charming and helpful. We pit up with the noise for 4 nights- once mentioned we were swiftly given a nearby room- which was better appointed. The big question is if Disney are so good at organing dream holidays why do they demean their hardworking staff in ill fitting uniforms that make them look like munchkins who didn't make it in The Wizard of Oz!

Can't wait to go back!

We live locally and only had a reservation for one night. My one and only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. I loved everything about the resort and will absolutely return in the near future.

King Bed denied and horrible view

Posted Mar 5, 2015
Pros: proximity to Epcot and the Boardwalk were good.
Cons: Provide customers with their requested accommodations when they pay in advance, and clean up the HORRIBLE view from the Standard rooms.
I paid $300 per night for my room TWO MONTHS IN ADVANCE, requesting a king bed. I also called the registration desk twice on the morning of the day I checked in to confirm my king bed. No matter what I did, despite paying TWO MONTHS IN ADVANCE, Beach Club refused to give me a king bed. When I checked in, despite the Beach Club staff 'doing everything they possibly could' to get me my king bed, I ended up with 2 queens. All the while, Beach Club staff repeatedly quoted corny phrases like 'have a magical day'. Well... I didn't feel very magical and those corny phrases amount to an insult. Then, when we arrived at our room, we were treated to the view of a gravel rooftop with smokestacks and air conditioning units, some painted a bright and ugly yellow color. I called the front desk to complain and the only thing they offered at first was to move us to another room with the same view. Yet another insult. Finally, after complaining for almost 1/2 an hour on the phone, Beach Club gave me a $50 credit. A small concession considering the $300 per night charge and HUGE disappointment. We will never go back to the Beach Club.

Comfortable and pretty

Posted Feb 17, 2015
It's true, this hotel is both of those things. And it's huge. Make sure o make your restaurant reservations ahead of time otherwise just have to find another hotel to eat at. Amazing staff. The looks are gorgeous even though it rained the day we had available to use then. Overall, a great place to stay with a family.
