Pros: The convenience to the Magic Kingdom and buses to the other parks makes this a great option for seeing the most in the parks!
Good choice of hotel for taking my 7 yr old grandson for his 1st visit to Disney! Convenient to get to Magic Kingdom via the monorail and buses were right out front of the hotel to take us to the other parks. Could watch the fireworks display from the hotel each night. Had some issues with a screaming baby in the room next door, but, good to know that the hotel staff would have moved us if they had an available room. They also would have sent security if the problem persisted (which it didn't) I think that after an hour in disney, the sooner you realize and accept the fact that there is no personal space…(..expect to walked into and bumped and even run into by strollers and wheel chairs) the happier the experience will be! The fact that we were just 2 stops out of the magic, provided us an opportunity take a brake from the chaos by the pools at the hotel…….Grandson spent over 3 hours several days just playing in the pools!

Grandgirlies First WDW Trip

Posted Jan 22, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness, landscaping, pool layout for toddlers, 24 hour Gasparilla Grill; refillable beverage cups
Cons: Very long lines at Gasparilla Grill and we were there off-season. Small thing--many of us looking for vanilla creamer with coffee. AM truck noise.
Location: We used WDW buses, so we only ventured to Downtown Disney.
The Grand Floridian exceeded our expectations! We took our two preschool granddaughters on their first trip to WDW and OUR first stay at the GF. What a lovely set of firsts! We wondered if we would feel awkward with the lavish façade this hotel boasts on all pre-trip pics we'd seen; but we wanted to be conveniently on the monorail for trips back mid-day with little ones. We NEVER felt anything but welcome and cared for. Every staff member was helpful with every kind of question from from Front Desk to housekeeping to Citricos Princess Brunch staff to boutique shop personnel to monorail attendants to Gasparillas Grill staff. Amazing visit, comfy beds, fresh, clean stay, wonderful food! Want to be pampered? Head to WDW's Grand Floridian Hotel!

We stayed at the hotel for 8 days and were treated so well. We were very impressed with the great service we received at the Grand Floridian, from the front desk to the restaurant staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Great location to access all the parks. I would highly recommend this hotel to all my friends

Pros: Perfectly oriented to have a Disney experience
Location: Perfectly located, you can take the monorail or the boat to go to the parks and forget about drive and park your car on the park.
We traveled for my five years old daughter's birthday and was excellent choice, she was very happy, do not forget to make reservation to have a breakfast and/or dinner with Disney characters.

"Top shelf" hotel

Posted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: It was just fabulous...from the piano player and band in the lobby to the view of the castle and fireworks from the dock.
Location: DISNEY, downtown DISNEY, etc
My teenage girls and I stayed for five days. They could come and go as they please. They could have a quick breakfast until 11 AM, which is perfect for the teens' schedule. One day I stayed on the property and hung out by myself, which was wonderful. The staff aims to please...everything was perfect.
