Hotel rooms and food need attention

Posted Nov 22, 2014
Pros: Small. ....Also great concierge service
Cons: Update the rooms & somehow improve the food.
Location: Great location.
Arrived to an unclean hotel room. I cleaned it a bit. Next morning politely asked the staff on duty to please vacuum and dust.Tip left. My room was much cleaner. I did notice the mirrors were never attended to during my stay. Tip left every morning. The hotel room was dingy with poor lighting and appeared old. Nothing updated. Very tiny bath.

Room review

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: It was nice to have a coffee pot in the room for that morning coffee.
Cons: Beds were a bit too hard for me and pillows were not very good. A couple extra blankets should be stored somewhere in the room.
Location: We spent all of our time at the parks. Didn't really explore what might be close by as we didn't have time.
The room was very clean and looked very nice. Housekeeping did a very good job every day. Bathroom was very small. You could barely get into it to close the door. Hopefully not all rooms had bathrooms that small. The shower head we had should be replaced. It did not work well. We've stayed at Riverside before and felt it was a bit better than French Quarter.

Port Orleans/ French Quarter, relaxing &convenient

Posted Nov 15, 2014
Pros: The convience of being on Disney property and transportation system, did not rent a car.
Cons: The things that changed at resorts per season, low vs high season.
Location: The location is on property with bus travel to all that is Disney. This property also had boat travel as well.
Pluses: Really clean, Transportation to parks timely and convenient., consigners helpful, check in was fast, the pool big and lots of lifeguard's, grounds beautiful, river travel great, noise level at a minimal, food affordable, staff friendly. Better than most hotels at making sure guests stay is great. Minuses: The hot tub was small, the lounge only had entertainment on week-end, no sit down/wait staff restaurant on property. The parks close early in the winter and so we wanted to go back to the resort and relax, but really nothing for adults to do, we took the riverboat to either Downtown Disney, or Port Orleans Riverside to relax at a sit down restaurant, not a big imposition, but would have been nice to at least stay on property after the hectic parks.

Our third stay here!

Posted Nov 14, 2014
Pros: Peaceful, clean and handy, The cafe nearby does a good pizza too.
Cons: Tell guests they can book fast passes when they check in we missed out when we bought our tickets.
Location: Too much!
Port Orleans French Quarter is lovely.Te gardens are well kept and rooms very clean. Great for the parks to hop on and off buses. We went to the food and drink festival at Epcot which was great. If you want to walk it is lovely through the gardens and along the waterway or get the free boats to Downtown. The staff are very nice but on the reception some are better than others.

Very nice for the price

Posted Nov 13, 2014
This is a very quiet resort. Smaller than most of the others so it's not as crowded as the value resorts. We'll stay again.

Close to all the parks. Quiet setting for Disney.

Posted Nov 6, 2014
Pros: Pretty and peaceful place.
Cons: Restaurant for breakfast was really crowded but rest of times were fine. All of Disney could use a greater selection of healthy food choices.
Location: Disney world
Appreciated a peaceful place after full days at the parks. Bus transportation worked well from this location. Great time.

Nice greenery around the hotel

Posted Nov 5, 2014
I did not like the beds. It was not comfortable. I like staff at hotel. They were very helpful and pleasant. There was not even complimentary drinking water a viable at room or reception. Food was too expensive. As far as taste is concerned I will give 5 out of 10. I liked movies that were shown in open greens under the sky. This was nice experience.

Loved it, stayed for 7 nights, slept well

Posted Nov 2, 2014
We stayed there for 7 nights and loved it. Grounds were nice, pool was fun, sassagoula food court was easy and family ready. We took the boat to downtown disney twice, that was a nice touch. Those in our party who previously had stayed at a disney world value resort thought it was a really nice upgrade. We'd definitely stay there again. Unfortunately there are so many other WDW resorts and so few times to try them, we'll probably try something else if we get the opportunity. So, if you haven't been here, and if you had you'd know your opinion of it, we'd definitely recommend trying it out.

Port Orleans is the best!!

Posted Oct 31, 2014
Pros: See above
Cons: See above

We have made Port Orleans and Dixie Landings our Disney hotels of choice. They are convenient to Downtown Disney and Epcot. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The only problem we had this trip was the grounds crew decided to cut the lawn and roll heavy carts up and down outside our room at 6:30 a.m. That is why I took a few points off of overall. This is the only time in 28 visits to Disney World that this has ever happened. Maybe the grounds crew should start their days work at a more reasonable hour, 8:00 a.m.
