Location: This resort is located in the heart of all of the area attractions, Disney World, Epcot, Universal it is all there.
all transportation needs taken care of! a real carefree vacation. Great rooms, people, and food.

Peaceful WonderlandPosted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: Everything, location, services and friendly staff.
Cons: Umbrellas in rooms for rainy days. Menu selections can be alternated every other day instead of the same menu everyday.
Location: Free bus shuttle to all the attractions, so this was a great way to get around.
Excellent hotel and staff are so cheerful and accommodating. The rooms are far from the main reception and dining areas but it is a peaceful walk with nature surrounding you. Spotted a few squirrels and rabbits along the walkway. It rained on my last night, and I had to walk the distance to the dining area. Suggest umbrellas be provided in the rooms for rainy days. Other than that, a very nice resort for family or friends vacationing. I highly recommend this resort.

Long walk but worth the viewPosted Sep 21, 2014
Cons: for the value of the property the sheets were a little starched but nothing to complain about.
Location: Disney resorts were very close bye as well as Downtown Disney. Great place to stay to be in the center of all the action and bus service.
This was our first experience at a Disney resort and we will definitely do it again. The Port Orleans Riversside was very quiet and we loved the walks to the hotel rooms even though they were a small distance from the main building, if you have trouble walking be sure to use the buses that frequently go around the property to drop you off at the main entrance. We also used the bus to go to Magic Kingdom and Animal kingdom and it was a little crowded at times but it was air conditioned and best of all FREE. Be sure to utilize the bus service to Orlando airport as it is also complimentary and our bus showed short Disney films which made the trip go buy extremely fast and it was fun. Attend the piano man at the lounge for some funny and joyous entertainment.

So happy with my choice!Posted Sep 18, 2014
I'm a single mom with a 2 year old and did a lot of research beforehand. I'm so glad I made this choice. Riverside was peaceful, beautiful and had everything we were looking for. The pool and the watchful lifeguards were great. There were plenty of options of things for kids to do and the buses to the parks were efficient. I was too beat on the 4th day to do another park so we just took the ferry to Downtown Disney which relaxing and still fun. I would definitely go back, particularly if I can get the reduced rate again.

Huge resort, be prepared to walk...Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: The cast members were friendly and Boatwright's Dining Hall was a nice place to eat. The rooms were nicely arranged.
Cons: I would love for housekeeping to knock, instead of just trying to open the door.
Location: The bus rides to the parks weren't terribly long (10-20 minutes).
We didn't realize just how big this resort was when we arrived, so we got a little confused. We parked in the parking lot, unloaded our bags, then went inside to check in. At this point, we realized that we would not be staying anywhere near where we were parked and had to reload our bags and drive to where our building was actually located. We stayed in Alligator Bayou (building 34, room 3434) and I was extremely glad that we had a car on site each time we needed to go to the main hotel area (dining, shopping, pool) as it seemed like a really long walk from our room. The (west) bus depot was right next to our building, which was nice. We had dinner at Boatwright's Dining Hall and really enjoyed the pimento cheese fritters. We didn't use the pool, but it looked great. The room layout was nice, with a mini-fridge and a curtain that separated the entire bathroom area from the rest of the room (if needed). I would definitely stay here again, but would request a room a little closer to the main area (especially if I didn't have a car on site).

I love the southern mansion style of the resort. The choice of pools and the boat ride to Downtown Disney or Port Orleans French Quarter. Also so cool to watch the horse and carriage ride by us as we were sitting on the rockers on the front porch. Very laid back. Excellent food at The Boat Wright.

nice hotel but not convenient.Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: the room is nice and clean
Cons: more pool for kid in different locations
Location: nothing close
the hotel is clean and new, but the room is away from everything, and there is no elevator for the 2nd floor and even you order the Disney express pick up form air port, they don't deliver you luggage to the room, you have to carry you luggage to the 2nd fl. for the new time I will order the high rise building hotel which has everything in the building for around the building so I don't have to walk all the time. also the boat service to downtown disney took at least an hour for waiting and ride.

Too far away from main lodge & room needs upgradePosted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Parking was included with the room
Cons: New mattresses and better pillows Upgraded bathroom
Location: On Disney property which is very spread out
The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were like pancakes. You can tell that the room is in need of up an upgrade. The bathroom is outdated and the fixtures are old. Breakfast at the main lodge was very expensive and the food was mediocre. The scrambled eggs were like putty. It was like an assembly line set up. The servers were not very friendly.
