Loved the atmosphere of the hotel.Posted Apr 24, 2015
Enjoyed the weeklong stay for the most part. There were a few problems with housekeeping. There were 5 of us in the room and housekeeping only left us 3 towels and washcloths despite us repeatedly requesting more. We usually had to call the front desk each evening to request more towels. We also weren't left toiletries some days and the worst was when we came in to our room one evening to find a full trash bag left on our bathroom floor and some dirt on top of bedspread, as if housekeeping had put something on the bed. We did mention to staff at checkout and were disappointed not to even receive an I'm sorry for the problems we brought to their attention. If it hadn't been for the aggravation of having to wait for towels constantly and the dirty room the one evening, the stay would have been great.

Adult Disney AdventurePosted Apr 24, 2015
Pros: Convenience, cleanliness, atmoshphere and great food.
Cons: Not sure.
We traveled to experience the resort and parks as adults. We had such a wonderful time. The resort is lovely, staff couldn't be nicer. The grounds were beautiful. The bus connections to the parks and boat to Downtown Disney were perfect. By the way- loved the catfish! Definitely will come back!

Great ExperiencePosted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Liked the various ways that Grandchildren could be entertained. Also all the conveniences as mentioned above.
Cons: Would have been nice to have the option of two king sized beds with a trundle for our party of three adults and two children
Very convenient with onsite restaurants and shuttles to Disney attractions. My Grandchildren loved the pool on Ole Man Island.

just as fun as the parksPosted Apr 19, 2015
Pros: Entertainment staff and activities for kids kept them occupied. Also liked the food
Cons: Mattresses were a little uncomfortable. Could use some nice mattress foam toppers or memory foam.
Location: Nice and close to all disney parks and they provide bus rides to and from parks at good intervals
Great staff and activities for the kids by the pool. Food was good and varied. Really liked the bayou feel. Also really liked that the mirror and sinks were separate from the shower so more people can get ready at same time. We loved our time hanging around the resort just as much as the time we spent in Disney parks.

Not impressed at all.Posted Apr 19, 2015
We stayed in the Royal rooms. Save your money. Little to no difference. Actually save your money and skip this hotel all together. This hotel was way to spread out and nothing special at all. If you are looking for a great experience stay at the Fort Wilderness or for the less money opt for Art Of Animation. Honestly just skip Disney property and book the Marriott Harbor Lakes. I can't even begin to tell you why I would stay there over almost any Disney Property.

Nice Disney hotel!Posted Apr 17, 2015
We just returned from our 7 night stay at Port Orleans Riverside. Rom was clean and comfortable but small for a family of 5. The queen beds were very comfortable but the fold down bed for the 5th person has a very thin mattress and not so comfy. Our request from the housekeeper for an extra pillow for the 5th bed was ignored twice so we gave up. The grounds were beautiful and our kids loved the slide at the pool! Like most of Disney, the resort was spotless. Ate in the food court several times. Pricey. For example, a bagel, cinnamon roll and 2 yogurts (Oikos greek and Dannon kid's yogurt) cost $16. We lucked out with a room/building close to the main entrance and one of the bus stops (Building 14) so that was a plus as the resort is very large! Overall, it was a pleasant stay!

Lovely location for a quiet nightPosted Apr 16, 2015
Stayed in the Alligator Bayou section. Our room was comfortable although not as clean as it should've been when we arrived. The guest services staff was lovely and very helpful.
