If you love to walkPosted Mar 6, 2015
Pros: I did like the room decor, the river scenery, the sense of peace and tranquility and the River Roose lounge with its wonderful show by YeeHa Bob!
Cons: The food court could be a little better organized with the different sections and selections in larger print. Better maps of the parks could be availa
Location: Don't miss the free boat ride to Downtown Disney. Stop at The French Quarter and take a look around.
Port Orleans River View is a wonderful scenic Disney hotel with a good staff and a well carried through theme. The only drawback I found was that everything is at a certain distance from everything else. Even when one stays in the preferred rooms (and I had a wonderful view of the water) it is still a bit of a walk to the dining facilities the pool and other amenities. It is more like a camp than a hotel. My room was extremely clean and well cared for by the daily cast member. My only problem was that the concierge was not helpful in giving me the full information to resolve a problem with my Fastpass+ causing me to spend a lot of time at two parks resolving it. I believe that was the only time in my entire stay I felt a cast member wasn't giving 100% effort.

Many issues getting resolutions to key problems and correct room type. It was clear that the staff was disinterested, uninformed, and unprepared. After speaking with many (5) different front desk employees, only a manager was capable of resolving most of the issues.

Very nice and quietPosted Mar 5, 2015
Pros: The staff is excellent and very helpful. We were first time visitors
Cons: The dining hall can get a little crowded and confusing.
Location: We were first time Disney visitors so tried to do three theme parks in three days. It's nice to have the bus service everywhere we wanted to go.
We enjoyed our stay at Riverside. The dining hall may be a little walk from some complexes and congested at times. Beautiful settings and easy access for Disney bus service

Nice hotel at the BayouPosted Mar 5, 2015
Pros: It was well laid out and the buses that take you to the parks are so helpful. We also enjoyed the ferry that took us to Downtown Disney.
Cons: There could be portions with the meals that weren't so large.
Location: The grounds were very well kept and there are so many Disney parks to visit.
We stayed at Port Orleans for one week and were very happy with our accommodations. The grounds were particularly well kept and the food was great. We felt there was a lot of choice for meals. The pool tended to be crowded and there were not too many loungers available. The staff was very helpful and always friendly.

Pros: Bus transportation to Disney Parks
Cons: Rooms were a little dated, bathrooms could have been cleaner.
Location: Close to Disney Parks, great bus transportation!
Nice hotel, great service, hot tub was great after a long day in the park. Drinks at pool bar were delicious! Quick breakfast at hotel dining was very good and affordable.

This was the best Disney hotel stay and trip ever!Posted Feb 26, 2015
Nancy in concierge was the best, she made our check in and everything else so easy and pleasant. The hotel was fabulous, the royal room was beautiful! Thank you Disney and Nancy for making our reunion the best!

Charming without being too themedPosted Feb 26, 2015
We took our 5 year old and we loved this hotel as much as she did. The room was cute with a princess theme, but the adults did not feel like we were in a kids room.

Cons: Outdoor porch/ patio to view surroundings would be a nice addition
Very enjoyable stay. The resort has a lot to offer and while it is a very large property it feels quaint with all of the trees and vegetation framing the units.

We had a great experience! Rooms were affordable, comfortable and clean, and the staff was great! We did experience a few "hiccoughs," but they took care of everything in a quick, friendly manner.
