This seven-story Doubletree offers 229 guest suites featuring colorful fabrics and upholstered furniture. Folding louvered doors provide privacy between bedrooms and living/dining rooms. Units are equipped with coffeemakers, microwaves, compact refrigerators, and sinks, but not dishes or utensils.

All suites offer two TVs with cable, pay movies, and video games (surcharge). In-room phones have voice mail. Rooms also offer wireless Internet access (surcharge). Amenities include hair dryers, in-room safes (surcharge), and complimentary USA Today newspapers.

All rooms include the Sweet Dreams® by Doubletree Sleep Experience bed with a plush-top mattress that is triple sheeted with high-thread-count linens; a down comforter; and a supply of jumbo pillows.

“Our favorite hotel in Orlando”

“I'll definitely come back”

From the moment I walked in, I knew that I would have a good time. Some of the staff members were at the front door holding balloons, probably waiting for a group to come in. As we passed by them, we were cheered by them like they were there just to welcome us. At the Front Desk, we were greeted by Christina who was just delightful. Checking in was easy and she also offered some sujestions and directions to stores and restaurants. Also she gave us warm cookies that really hit the spot, after a long day travelling. The room was spacious and had a mini kitchen with microwave and coffee maker. The carpet was old and stained and the beds weren't confortable as they looked. However we had a great view of Epcot. I called Front Desk several times with questions and Christina answered my questions in a warm and friendly way. I could tell that she was happy to help me. The hotel has a nice size heated pool with a snack bar which I loved the convenience. On my flight back to NY, I realized that I had left a wallet and some jewelrely in the safe of the Hotel. I called the Hotel and spoke with Hector, Front office manager and he arranged for my belongs to be sent to my home. I was really impressed with the cordiality, attention and personal care that he devoted to me. There is a laundry room on the 7th floor. No need to carry too much clothes. I'll definitely come back to this hotel and, will recomend it to my friends. Kudos to Christina, Hector and all the valet staff.

Area recommendations

Always try to stay in Lake Buena Vista area. Close to parks and atractions. Also there are great restaurants and good shopping nearby.

What to pack

Pack light if you are staying at this hotel. The laundry room is handy and you avoid carring extra weight. The airline I used charged me $25.00 for each suitcase I checked in on this trip. Since my vacation was for two cities, I ended up paying $150.00 extra on my total trip.

“Great choice for proximity to Disney and it is clean and comfortable”

Every year for 12 years I come the end of September for the food & Wine festival at Disney and I have stayed in 3 other properties close by (not DIsney owned) - this is my new favorite! Very clean, well maintained and reasonably priced. The room was very large - I had a King bed with double doors that closed between the bedroom and the living/kitchenette area for privacy. The bedding was comfortable and the towels big and thick. THis hotel was exceptionally clean. The staff was attentive and friendly. Room service was excellent! The only thing I found I did not care for was the pool area - it was a bit secluded and I went out around 9pm and no one else was there and I felt uncomfortable. It is a bit too secluded/tucked away behind the building with mature, lush landscaping that it could pose a security issue. Overall, the resort as a whole definitely is on the top of my list for my next visit - I can take or leave the pool.

Area recommendations

Make sure you visit Celebration- the Disney Built town on 192 with quaint shops and dining. Great for a evening away from all of the Theme Park hoopla! Park and walk to everything downtown.

“Great Location”

“Nice hotel for families”

I liked the hotel, but i did see mold in the shower on the ceiling. I didnt realize the hotel was a family hotel but it was quiet with all the kids around. It was a nice hotel & i would recommend to others.

“Great stay”
