Hotel close to universalPosted Jun 1, 2015
Don't go by the photos you see, the photos online are a lot nicer than the hotel in person.

Handicap room on third floorPosted Jun 1, 2015
I was placed in a handicapped room for some reason. Number of beds requested was incorrect. The staff was friendly and accommodating to the mistakes. Located within 2 miles of Universal/Islands of Adventure.

Dated hotel close to UniversalPosted May 29, 2015
Pros: The Four Points is about a 15 minute walk away from Universal so it is very convenient for that. The gym is also pretty good for a hotel gym.
Cons: The rooms could do with updating and/or deep cleaning. The level of customer service could be improved greatly.
Location: Close to Universal Studios
We had stayed at the Four Points in 2012 and enjoyed our stay, which is why we booked it again. Unfortunately we regretted our decision. The staff member at check in was fairly rude and made no effort to be welcoming. Throughout our stay only one staff member at the front desk, James, said good morning or acknowledged us. Our first room was on the 9th floor and it was not clean. It was dusty, with stains on the tiles surrounding the bath (one, a huge rust stain that was spreading across the wall), the carpet was dirty and the bedding was pulled with bits of grass stuck to it. They did allow us to switch rooms although there was no apology or acknowledgement that the room wasn't clean, we were just met with more attitude. The second room was fine - it was cleaner than the first but it was dated and just OK. We were visiting Orlando for our anniversary and decided to switch hotels after the second night (we had finished at Universal). We picked one at Disney (The Swan) which was excellent. The Four Points is a good basic hotel if you don't mind outdated hotel rooms and (for the majority) poor service.

Unsafe place to stay. No security cameras and not enough security.

Great stay!Posted May 4, 2015
staff at check in were really nice. I don't recall her name but it was actually the lady from PBX that checked us in. She was kind enough to work things out and leave a key and the decal ready for my boyfriend who was coming later. The room was really clean, the view was amazing! The beds and pillows were a trap of comfort. It was as hard enough to leave from our mini vacation but goodness the beds are so comfortable that it was a mission to get out. Overal great stay, would highly recommend it.

Ok, but a little disappointedPosted May 4, 2015
The hotel is clean and convenient. This is our second stay here for a weekend at Universal Studios. It was ok, but not as good as the last time (in January). The front desk does not clearly have a place to line up to check in - and there's always a bunch of people waiting. People just huddle around wherever and sometimes line-jumping happens by accident because of this, causing annoyance. Although we confirmed and prepaid for a room with a king bed ahead of time through Expedia, we were told "even though you booked a king, if you book through Expedia you're not really guaranteed, so ". What? That shouldn't matter. She then said "since I can't give you a king room, I'll give you 2 doubles high up". Well, "high up" meant about half-way up. The room with 2 doubles was ok, but smaller and did not have a microwave and fridge. Since the previous time our king room had both, we had planned for this, so this was disappointing. There are ice makers on every other (even numbered) floor. The one on our floor didn't work, nor did the one 2 floors up. Finally found some ice 2 floors down. We also found it weird that they only gave us 3 sets of towels instead of the usual 4. This was the case both trips. There was a "get a $5 credit if you turn down housekeeping" sign that we could put on the door by 2am, which we did. We stayed 2 days without housekeeping (by choice). No credit was given, though. Not a huge deal, but I don't like false advertising. Otherwise, hotel was acceptable.

Great location, that's about it.Posted May 3, 2015
The good: free parking, free wifi, comfortable beds, nice pillows, nice views, great location. The bad: very loud music by the pool until 10 pm at night, hotel staff nice but slow, facilities a bit older, only 3 elevators. The ugly: rooms were not very clean - ac filter looked as if it wasnt cleaned in months, the chairs had visible crumbs in the gaps, the smell was really bad in the hallways, were some dead bugs on bed sheets.

Nice hotel near all attractionsPosted Apr 26, 2015
Place is ok. The guy at the front was very nice and he put us in the top floor with the ceiling windows. The view was nice. The room was clean but they gave us two queen size beds when he asked for a king and the beds were terrible. Woke up with back pains. Overall it was an ok place if you're planing on being there a very small portion of your trip.

My Unpleasant Stay in Orlando 7 daysPosted Apr 22, 2015
Hotel Location is great. It is visible from everywhere. Hotel staff are not professional and efficient. Except security people. Very poorly renovated. They put the paint on the dirt. Not good quality. There are much nicer hotels around. I don't think I will stay there again.
