“very nice place”
If this place is not 5 stars, i don't know what is. Room was incredibly clean and the buffet was great value at $32 per person.
“Great Hotel and Christmas Events”
My family had a great time. Went to Shrek the Hall ICE and Kung Fu Panda Awesome Snow. Impressive hotel and we'll be back in Spring 2012 for their new children's pool. Highly recommended.
“Beautiful hotel with lousy "location, location, location"”
The Gaylord Palms is a truly beautiful resort and the convention center is also very serviceable. If you feel like you can stay in one location and not go off the property then you'll love it here. If you want to see the local attractions (after all you came to Orlando), then it becomes an additionally pricey proposition. And the amount of time, including waiting time for the shuttles, simply sucks too much time out of your vacation day. The hotel includes "free shuttle" under their $15/day additional room charge for an already expensive room, but if you're somewhat naive to the Orlando reality of competing theme parks, then you may not appreciate (as we didn't) that the free shuttle was only to Disney parks, and also not necessarily at highly convenient times. So going to Seaworld for example, ends up costing an additional $19/day/person. We're sure that there must be some transportation package available through the omnipresent Mears transportation company but nobody would seem to fess up. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, and willing to recommend outside activities beyond the hotel walls. The restaurants had great service and good food at a premium price. Spa was excellent. All that said, next time we'll stay on a park property with much easier and convenient access to the attractions that you go to Orlando to see.
“Wonderful vacation!”
Great customer service! Very clean.....and a serene getaway from Disney! Only downside....the children's pool was under construction & was not informed until I asked how to get to it. If the children's pool was open during our stay, my two boys would have been much happier....& it would have been a much better time for us adults, too.
“Impresseed”
Rooms was very clean. We had the remodeled room by the everglades. Transportation was convienant from hotel to disney. Eating at hotel can be pricey.
“Great place”
Over all a great hotel. One complain, self parking fee is outrageous along with the resort fee. Lower the room rate.
“Can't wait to go back !!!”
We had so much fun just me and the hubby ! Next time will be taking the kids to see the ice show!!
“Anniversary Suprize”
Wonderful resort hotel.
“Ok for price I got”
Great lobby and gardens inside hotel. However, sort of far from Disney and transport not very frequent. Found my bed to be somewhat uncomfortable and parking was overpriced at $13/day though hotel is not located in a crowded Disney area, Pool was ok, but there was bulldozers doing work next door.
“Cant wait to return again!!!”
We ahve been all over the world and this ranks as one of the best overall experiences we have had!! Thanks Gaylord!!
