So close to everything and yet so secluded

Awesome winter getaway close to all the attractions. Spent 4 of our 8 days just hanging at the resort, plenty to do and so relaxing. It would be a great place for a family reunion.

Great hotel close to Disney

Posted Jan 27, 2015
We were upgraded from a 2 bedroom to a 3 bedroom which was spacious for our family of 5. They also let us have early check in at 10 am. The room and facilities were fabulous. We did go to a time share talk but got $125.00 Visa credit to use at the parks. They also entertained the kids while we were there and they were happy to have some down time. Conveniently located close to the parks, but no shuttle so you do need your own car. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this condo to anyone.

Great value for the money

Pros: Clean, safe, well-kept. Nice view onto Lake Bryan from grounds and units facing that way.
Cons: As a swimmer, I'd love to see more hotels offer a lap pool, but neither of their pools was set up that way.
Location: Close to DisneyWorld, outlet malls, SeaWorld, etc.
I was using Grand Beach as a place to sleep while I attended a nearby conference, so I did not have a chance to partake in any of their onsite amenities/activities. I did think the pools, mini golf, kids' playground, and waterfront area looked nice, and everything was well-kept. The deal I got as an air-hotel-car package from Expedia was excellent, and this was no cut-rate hotel. The room was a suite with a full (small) kitchen, living room area, and separate bedroom. The bathroom was fairly large and had a Jacuzzi tub-shower combo. The nitpick-y things I'd mention would be the comfort of the living room sofa (it's a sofa bed, but really uncomfortable as a sofa; never unfolded it to see the bed), the difficulty getting heating/AC right, and the distance from outside restaurants with no restaurant on site. The resort did offer me a time share meeting with promises of great savings for attending, but I declined, and it was a non-issue. Not pushy at all. For my purposes, it worked well. I think it would also be a great home base for visiting Orlando destinations, as long as you were prepared to do a bit of driving. Also, please keep in mind that daily housekeeping is not provided. (I think they service the rooms once or twice a week during longer stays.)

Loved the place!

Pros: The three bedroom layout and perfect for our family. Plus it was the cleanest place we have ever stayed. All the appliances were top of the line.
Cons: I cannot think of anything to improve. Unless you can control the weather!
Location: We found it was great. Traffic was bad due to the Xmas week crowd, but we expected it. Mininature golf was a big hit with our teenage grandsons!
We brought our family and everyone thought the place was great. We did not get to use the pools due to the weather, but we enjoyed everything else!

Great hotel, close to disney

Kids loved the miniature golf course, tennis courts, basketball courts, play structure with spongy floors , sandy beach with hammocks. Both pools also have kiddy pools and jacuzzis ( that's right ....2 pools) I'm a very picky person and the room was very clean and spacious. Kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to eat at the condo. Huge 3 bedroom, 3 bathrooms, living room and screened in porch with full table and 4 big chairs in patio. Also washer and dryer. Front desk has free coffee, tea and hot cocoa. Our first night they had cookies and a real Santa Claus for the kids. Poolside glitter tattoos, sand and candy art for kids. Poolside movies at night and family activities every day and night. We have stayed 3 times at this place....it just gets better....wArning do Not go to 2 hr time share presentation though, it's really 4 hours of a hard sell of a time share that has hidden 2000.00/year maintenance fees and VERY pushy salespeople( not worth the free breakfast and 100.00 gift card) if you don't go to sales pitch, it is a GREAT place.
