GREAT HOTELPosted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: Size of room . Room also had dishes and, utensils . Even place to bar b que if so inclined.
Cons: They do want you to go to breakfast and lunch to take a 'survey' which I'm assuming is trying to sell you a time share.
Location: Sea world, gatorland(pretty cool but looking for coupon--for 1/2 price its worth it)---ifly---disney world---lots and lots of restaurants..
We stayed in the 3-bedroom and it was perfect. Three room, three bathrooms and 3 t.v.s. We have three children and the older they get the harder it is to just stay in a one room hotel or even a hotel suite. Lots of room. We bought food to cook for breakfast and lunch and would dine out only for dinner. Saved quite a bit, since all the theme parks are expensive. Always, look for living social or groupon for the city you are going to get deals on hotels and dining. The hotel was really kept up. Had two pools. Went now in August 2014 and did not have one issue. Happy Vacationing.

Nice ResortPosted Aug 28, 2014
Beds were very comfortable and sheets were nice. Resort rooms were very spacious. Only problem children were running around in the rooms above ours at 12:15 am I had to call resort security to tell them to be quiet.

Nice resort! Clean and lots of activities on sitePosted Aug 6, 2014
The resort was very clean and there were several fun activities through each day of the week. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The hotel is minutes away from Disney, sea world, city walk, and shopping!!! We had a blast. The only thing that disappointed us was there is not beach on the resort but everything else made up for that.

Great place to vacation!Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: Plenty of activities to keep the kids busy and
Cons: Be sure to request a room with a view. My room overlooked the parking lot though it was not a complete eye sore.
Location: It is central to most of the amusement parks and restaurants
This was my second stay at the Grand Beach and it was extremely nice. You are not pressured to attend timeshare meetings and being located right on the lake is amazing.

"self-service" hotel?Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Having a morning coffee overlooking the lake
Cons: If they call themselves a hotel, they should offer hotel service
Location: Good location for Disney resorts and very easy to get to I4 for Universal and Busch Gardens. Good mall nearby with selection of restaurants.
If, like me, you are expecting the "hotel" to tidy your room, make your beds, clean the bathroom and top-up the coffee every day, you are in for a disappointment. This is some sort of time-share condiminium and you're expected to do all these things (mostly) yourself. In the two weeks my wife and I stayed here we were only allocated 2 "room cleans". I don't have any problem with the concept of "self-service" hotels, but I think the Grand Beach should explain this in their resort description. Other than this, the resort was really very pleasant and has 2 swimming pools, mini golf, basketball courts, and many other clean, well-maintained facilities.

Great location - close to super Walmart. We got groceries for our fully stocked kitchen. Saved a lot of money on food. Master bathroom was large and so nice to have a lot of space while traveling with toddlers. Would definitely stay here again! Learned that polynesian isle is a sister hotel and just a few miles away and just as nice!

Grand BeachPosted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: Beautiful setting, easy access to Disney, great rooms and staff.
Cons: The shower in the master bedroom was not sloped correctly and held a little water.
Location: The hotel is located 15 to 20 minutes from Disney World pending on which park you are going to visit. Sea World is also close by.
We spent 8 days and 7 nights at the Grand Beach Hotel - we were upgraded at no cost to a 3 bedroom unit. The staff and the room were great. They have a lot of activities for both adults and children daily. While we spent most of our time at Disney. Beautiful grounds, right on the lake. I would recommend any of the Diamond Resort hotels.
