Going downhillPosted Aug 16, 2014
We've stayed at orange lake quite a few times and the last experience was the worst. We've grown accustomed to clean comfortable rooms and above average service and amenities. This year's stay brought a poorly cleaned and fairly outdated two bedroom suite. One of the beds was broken when we arrived which they didn't come to fix until day four. We tried to print out park tickets only to realize that the business center (which they charged to use) was not working. The resort services manager however was quite helpful and worked with us to get them printed out. Besides the dirty floors, the broken bed and the inability to use some of the amenities they have a great pool and lazy river. They are also convenient to the parks.

Very nice resortPosted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: It was six of us and we stayed in a nice 2 bedroom villa. Pretty much accomadated everybody. Kitchen was nice. Lazy river and jet skiing was awesome!
Cons: The push for the time share should be an OPTION, notify the customer of extra $250 charge, and the stove could be snapped into place.
Location: Disney is only an exit away and there are a lot of eating and groceries nearby.
I stayed with a group of 5 other friends and we all loved this resort. We had a really good time checking out most of the amenities. It's so much to do, we didn't get the chance to do everything there! Only thing that I did not like was the push to go to a time share presentation that is said to last 90 minutes and actually took 3 hours. Also I did not like that there was no notification that there would be a $250 charge to the card to use restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. located on the resort. Other than that, it was GREAT!

HotelPosted Aug 12, 2014
Cons: Housekeeping at least once a week.
Location: This resort is located near everything. Major highways, eateries, Target, grocery stores etc.
Loved everything about the facility! It meet our family of 4's needs. The resort had lots of things to do to keep us all entertained. Rates were fair and the rooms were outstanding.

Nicest resort near Disney to stay with kidsPosted Aug 11, 2014
Our second visit and stay at Orange Lake and was very pleased with overall accommodations and facilities. Highly recommend to families who need to relax and cook in their own rooms. Close to every amenity and very friendly staff all around. Can't wait to return next year again.

Expensive!Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Convenient location, clean, pools were fun and the shuttle was convenient to ride back and forth to the different areas.
Cons: The maid came over an hour before checkout. She would have come inside but we had the chain on the door. Actually opened the door and tried to enter!
We went for a weekend get away and had fun, but we could have easily gone on a cruise for what the stay ended up costing. Almost everything is an extra cost. I felt that for $200 per night, I shouldn't have to pay $10/day/person to rent a float, use the waterslide, play putt putt, rent tennis racquets, etc. And that was PER activity. To do everything at the water park it would have over $50 extra per person. It just seemed like they were trying to nickle and dime us for everything! And there was NOTHING on the website that indicated these items were not included. Also, there was a lot of high pressure at check in to do the 1.5 hour "tour" to try to sell us a time share. We just wanted a weekend away, and are not interested in buying there. I didn't appreciate the pressure.

Not what I thought it wasPosted Aug 4, 2014
1st thing was they don't clean the Room. You have to wash the towels, clean and organize the room, so in other words stay at home. Then they make you pay over $200.00 dollars for you to use the pool, golf, tennis, basketball etc. then they tell you that they will give you back the money if you attend to a meeting. So you have to cancel one day of your vacation to go to the meeting or they won't return the money. If I have to clean the room, pay extra to use the pool, golf, and basketball. I rather stay at home or definitly go some where else.
