Hotel format and check-in point was not clear for late night check-in. Large facility not clearly marked and ling wait time due to minimal staff. Only 1 working elevator which could not support the volume of guests.

Good location, horrible hotel

Posted Mar 25, 2015
First room they gave us, door to room wouldn't shut. Next room they gave us didn't have a door to the safe. Smelled horrible, falling apart. Beds incredibly uncomfortable. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $20-$30 a night and stay somewhere else

This was a disappointing experience.

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Pros: The pool area was very nice.
Cons: The open foyer, air conditioner and elevator issues.
Location: Location is a very busy area. Not what I thought I was booking. Close to store, restaurants and amusement.
We decided to stay here because it was suppose to close to the airport. We just stayed one night in a king bed standard room. We just needed a good nights sleep to leave early to catch our flight. We did enjoy the meal by the pool. The music was a little too loud, but other otherwise nice. They gave us coupons for free drinks. The problem was there was only one elevator working and even that didn't work when we cam back from dinner. Also, We asked them to repair the air conditioner because it was extremely loud and rattled. They came but it didn't help. No hot water in the evening We were given some compensation, 20 per cent off and waived the resort fee. I think the open concept in the foyer is not save . Anyone can take the elevator up to your room.

Take your money elsewhere

I found a flea in my bed. The comforter smelled like it had not been washed in years. I felt the coils of the bed all night long which was very uncomfortable. The hallway was stale and very hot. The elevators were so old that the handrails were falling off the inside walls. The elevator nearly broke down when I was inside. Never again will I ever stay in a hotel of that quality again.

Beginning stages of badly needed renovation.

Posted Mar 24, 2015
While the staff was courteous, that's was the only enjoyable thing about staying in this hotel. It was very run down, and dirty looking. Our couch and some of the carpet had black dirt spots. We were put on the 11th floor with only 1 working elevator and had to wait as long as 20 minutes to get to our room. In the evening we just walked the 11 flights of stairs as that was faster than waiting. The TV was ancient, A/C froze us out when running but the room quickly got hot when it was not. The walls were thin and we could hear our neighbors on either side of us (a lot of fussy children). There were several signs indicating it was being remodeled but that was not communicated in the hotel description. It was difficult to tell in what stage the hotel was in as it all looked run down. The hotel also charged us for the room even after Expedia had charged us. I had to spend the morning of check out getting that credited. It was a very poor experience and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great location on International Drive

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: Clean rooms, great pool, proximity to attractions
Cons: Update rooms, specifically the bathrooms.
Location: Universal Studios, dining of all sorts
Although the rooms are a bit outdated compared to other resorts in Orlando, the hotel is working on renovating them now. The rooms are clean and serviced every day. Great central location on International Drive, very close to Universal Studios with many restaurants in the immediate area. Compared to other I-Drive hotels, this is a step above. Not motel-ish at all. Ample parking for guests. The pool is beautiful, just be sure to bring towels with you as they frequently run out. The only problem we had with this hotel was that they had 1 elevator out of 3 working, with the other 2 under construction and slated to be ready in May (we visited in March). We frequently had to wait long periods of time for the elevator to get up to our 12th floor room.

Wait for elevator >20 minutes!

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Out of the 3 elevators to service 14 floors, only one was working. After waiting for over 20 minutes for an elevator that wasn't packed full of guests leaving, I took the stairs... 5 flights with my large suitcase and other belongings. After again waiting in a 20 minute line to check out (they do not allow phone check-out, it must be done in person), the front desk clerk just shrugged his shoulders when I shared my dissatisfaction. I have never been more inconvenienced at a $200/night hotel in Orlando. There are many options available, don't choose this one.
