My first stay at a La Quinta

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: I liked the location, and it was a nice big room with a great per night rate.
Cons: The only improvement would be to have the cleaning people, really clean the bathrooms. I found the floor and tub not very clean and covered in hair
Location: Great location for me. I was visiting a nearby relative, and only had a short drive to her location.
Upon arrival, I found only one employee at the front desk, and she told us that her computer system was down, and she was calling for help. So considering there were 3 other parties checking in, that was about 40 minutes waiting. The young lady behind the desk handled the whole situation very professionally. While staying at the hotel, the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Extra service very helpful

Posted Nov 23, 2014
Location: 20 minute walk to main entrance of UCF
We were just staying one night and wanted to leave our luggage at hotel after check out -for 5 hours. We were able to do that and the clerk suggested that she call and order a taxi for the airport right then so that when we came back, the taxi would be there. So helpful! Thanks.

Badly in need of paint and repairs to 4th floor. Maid staff blocked elevator and want not move cart to let me pass comfortably. Room was clean but sheets worn.

Mostly harmless

Location: Hotel on corner of Research PKWY and Alafaya. Go S on Alafaya 5 min. many stores & restaurants. Go N on Alafa 5 min., L on University Blvd, the same
Myself, husband, and daughter were visiting older daughter at UCF. Location is very conveniently close to the Libra Community residence halls. Room had one queen and a sleeper sofa. Pros: Comfortable bed. The bed had a nightstand on both sides. No odors in the room. Clean. Quiet (it was Saturday night, but not a home football game night). Roomy comfortable lobby and breakfast area. Elevators on both ends of the hallway, with exits to parking lot right next to elevators. Breakfast bar had yummy homemade blueberry muffins and hot boiled eggs in the shell. Free Wifi which worked very well for us. Cons: Just a few. The biggie: the sleeper sofa mattress was uncomfortable; you could feel the cross bars, and one end sloped downward. Bathroom was stocked with only one bar of soap (they gave me more). There were no extra blankets in the room, and it was a chilly evening. When we called the desk for extra blankets and sheets for the sleeper sofa, at first they asked us to come down to get them ourselves, but they did bring them after we asked them to.

Very convenient to UCF!

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: LOCATION (proximity to UCF)
Cons: We requested two passkeys. The second one would not open the door even after I went to the lobby and had them re-program the key again.
Location: Very convenient to UCF. Traffic light allowed for easy turning onto either direction of Alafaya Trail.
Check-in was painless. Parking was adequate. Staff was friendly. Rooms were nice.

Cons: I'm 6'2..a longer king bed by about a foot would have been nice.
Overall, I thought the price to value ratio was a bit high. I don't think a room at this hotel should have cost more than $100/night.
