Bad bedPosted Feb 1, 2014
Pros: Clean, staff
Cons: Terrible bed
Location: Orlando- Disney, universal
Everything was good until we went to bed - saggy! It was difficult to get a good nights sleep when you meet your spouse in the middle!

Surprisingly, nicePosted Jan 15, 2014
I have stayed at a few la quintas in my lifetime, this one looked different. It looked more like a themed cottage type hotel from the outside. It was actually cute. The location was perfect, right next to wet and wild and islands of adventure. Walking distance to Denny's. As I walked into the room I was nervous but surprisingly impressed. It was roomier and nicer than the other la quintas I have stayed at. The only thing is, is that the service was kind of, annoying. Check in is at 3 and I came at 5. So why did I still have to wait 25 minutes for my room to be ready? I still don't know. While we were waiting I have a tiger stuffed animal. The lady at the desk was asking me rude questions about it. "So do you bring that thing everywhere?" Sort of a series of similar questions that made fun of me. God forbid my mother died and gave me that tiger. (Even though she didn't and I just use it for a pillow) The lady compared it to her neice who stopped sucking her toungue at 22. Downright rude.

Exceptional StaffPosted Jan 1, 2014
Pros: Exceptional customer service
Location: Close to Universal Studios, has shuttles to Universal and Disney and trolley stop.
Assistant Manager Ivan went way above expectations for customer service. Expedia didn't send through our reservation to the hotel even though we booked in April and arrived in Dec. When we arrived the hotel was full. He called Expedia, several hotels and even though hotels were sold out according to the Internet and everything we tried he found us an other hotel and even took us there himself.

ORLANDO THEME PARK VACATIONPosted Dec 26, 2013
Pros: Large rooms, clean, a/c was great and kept our husky cool, good place for people with dogs.. Close to Universal and easy to avoid the traffic to Univ.
Cons: Toilet paper rolls were a little small, breakfast had no meat but this is not the Ritz, buy some bacon and sausage from Denny's next door. Good value.
Location: Pointe Orlando and Gaylord Palms are crap. THIS IS NOT NASHVILLE GAYLORD, DON'T WASTE $20 WITH TAX GOING THERE! Go Premium Outlet International Dr.
Did Universal 3 days and Sea World 1 day. Say what you want about Sea World but the $32 all you can eat was GREAT. The 1st place Pizza was so so and we were expecting the same from the next seven places but they WERE GREAT. Like a cruise ship without the problems. Shamu is a must see splashing 10 rows deep and making even the most matco men retreat in terror of this killer whale. Shamu needs a union contract doing 3 regular and 2 Christmas shows.. Universal wait time on Despicable Me and Transformer was 100 minutes unless you pay the $70 a day fast pass but this is more than the tickets, try GETTING UP EARILY AND GET IN LINE AT 8:45 AM. Took us 1 hour to get throught both ot them. Except for the roller coasters, Men in Black and Simpsons usually only had 20 minute whate. Instead of Universal all you can drink cups, try getting the Transformer and Dispecable Me cups, 99 cent refill and hey you can give them as gifts, they keep your soda very cold with the ice. Mel's and some others not too expensive but no all you can eat like Sea World, sorry we didn't do Sea World 2 days just for the food. Downtown Disney not as good as last year, lot of construction and Premium Mall Vineland too pricy and can't find a parking spot, stick to the one on International Drive, also better prices.

Older hotel with good customer servicePosted Nov 25, 2013
Pros: Closness to the stores and the Citrus Stadium.
Cons: The time allotted to get breakfast, the dining room closed at 9:30 a.m.
Location: The hotel was located very close to the I-4 entrance, which, made it very easy to access the theme parks in the area.
We were only at the hotel for one night but we found the staff to be very friendly and accomodating. Really appreciated having a microwave and rerigerator in the room.
