Close to Universal; good for a couple nightsPosted Oct 6, 2014
Cons: The beds should be replaced along with the hallway carpeting.
Location: Universal Studios is a four minute drive or 20 minute walk.
I was greeted by the front desk attendant who was pleasant and wore a smile. The check-in was very quick. Left credit card for incidentals and was off to our room. The room was somewhat warm when we arrived so we turned on the a/c to cool it down. The a/c was noisy and consistently turned on and off in 10 to 15 minute increments to cool the room. The a/c was not efficient. The bed was actually to my liking; somewhat soft and not too firm. The room contained a small refrigerator and a microwave. The breakfast staff was pushy wanting to make sure we operated the Belgium waffle machine correctly. Overall, the breakfast was good with a variety of cereal, fruit, bread and bagels, muffins, eggs, sausage, etc. The housekeeping staff was just ok. They could have been friendly and refrained from making comments as we walked down the hall. They snickered and laughed quietly after we told them we did not wish to have our room made up. General appearance of the hotel: The hallway carpets are in need of being replaced.

Nice hotel for the pricePosted Sep 2, 2014
This hotel is close to Universal but away from the traffic and noise. The bus stop and I-Trolley was directly across the street from the hotel which was really convenient. Our room was nice and the bed was comfortable, plus we also had a frig and microwave without being charged extra-big plus. Free shuttle service and hot breakfast was also very convenient. Hotel staff very nice and accommodating. Would stay there again.

Disappointing roomPosted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: In a very quiet area and close to some attractions and malls.
The ambiance of the room was disappointing. There was no color coordination between the window treatments, carpet and bed spreads. However, the mattresses were very firm. There were no complimentary toiletries. The breakfast was fine but I was not overly impressed. The hotel sufficed for a 3 day stay, but I would not recommend for long term use. None-the-less, the staff were very helpful and courteous.
