Pros: very clean

Nice hotel close to stores, minutes to DisneyWorld

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: distance to WDW; price; distance to stores like Walgreens, Red Lobsters; and Pizza Hut inside the building, too
Cons: I suggest repainting the steps of the stairs. Make it a little bright and homey :)
Location: minutes to WDW walking distance to stores (pharmacy, restaurants) close to Nipa Hut (I can't stand a week without eating pancit) lol :)
It was a pleasant experience. As against the reviews I read, I beg to disagree. The room is modest. It is not as great as those themed-decorated resort/hotels, but I find this hotel just great for our 4-night stay. AC was working fine. There's no cockroaches I found, no hair on the bedsheets/pillows, towels were replaced everyday. Each time we arrived from WDW, we found the room clean and SWEET-SMELLING (awesome) I will book here again. Thanks MLR.

Not bad for the price

Posted Aug 14, 2014
Pros: price
Cons: Not much as hotel is older generation. Ice machines need fixing. Disney shuttle could be earlier.
Location: lots of restaurants and fairly close to Disney
Stayed before in a 2 bed room. As this time was a 1 bed room, it seemed it was less affected by the wear and tear. Took a little time to check in as they were short staffed. Ice machines were broken and had to request ice from restaurant.

Just a quick local excursion

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: The room was spacious. The staff were all a diverse mixture of races, sexes, and nationalities, and they were all nice. It was actually nice to see.
Cons: Be sure to advertise in bold print that a valid credit/debit card must be required at check in.
Location: Lots of attractions, restaurants, and stores. The area is on the "B" side of Disney, but overall nice.
The hotel staff could use a little training in customer service. They have this idea that no one wants to pay with cash. Apparently they quite often have to turn away cash paying guest. The upfront payment if it hasn't already been paid in full, must be secured with a debit or credit card. If a person would like to pay in cash, then when they check out, they have the option to do so, but the money charged to their card does not get reimbursed for several business days. This is not clearly stated on the "Expedia" web site when booking. Also the web site states that the price that they show at the time of booking is the agreed on price even if you choose to pay at the hotel after reservations are made. This was not the case. The advertised price was one thing on Expedia and it stated that included all charges. When we got to the Hotel we were charged a lot more. Even after explaining this to the check in staff, who were very unpleasant, they said either pay or keep on moving. We reluctantly paid. Other than the check in experience the overall one night getaway was nice. The room was spacious. The staff were all a diverse mixture of races, sexes, and nationalities, and they were all nice. It was actually nice to see men cleaning hotel rooms. The hotel was nicely located, but a little difficult to find by way of the Mapquest directions. Once we got our bearings it was easy to navigate the general area.

Dear Perry: We apologize for any misunderstanding. The hotel requires a credit or debit card at check in for incidentals, however we do accept cash payment as well either at check in or check out - but the credit card must be authorized at check in. The resort fee is not collected by the online booking engine, but it is stated that it is due to the hotel upon check in. We apologize if this was not made clear at time of booking. Thank you so much for your valued feedback and we thank you for your comments regarding our diverse / kind staff. We hope we see you again real soon!

Stay away from this place

Posted Aug 8, 2014
First time to Florida. Staff is great but hotel is very run down, smells musty, very dirty and moldy walls. Paid for pool view and we got nothing but bushes and shrubs covering the pool. The door to the hotel room was paper thin and very flimsy. We had a late check in but needless to say, we checked out the very next morning. Be careful, you do get what you pay for!

Excellent Hotel

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: The ice and vending machines and the change dispenser in the laundry room.
Location: Its 20 minutes away from Walt Disney, seaworld, wet n wild, etc. oldtown, minutes away from all dining restaurants.
The hotel is by far one of the best hotels. I will recommend the hotel to everyone. The location of hotel was great, hotel facilities were excellent, pool, gameroom etc. Best part of vacation laying by the poolside and enjoying a nice cocktail.

Not what I expected.

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: The beds were clean
Cons: Everything
Location: There was plenty of stores and restaurants in the area. However, as close as we thought to Disney World.
There should be a law that no hotel is allowed to continue posting there picture from when they opened! I booked two rooms! The bathroom ceiling was peeling paint all over. I payed an extra fee for being a Disney Resort when they were still miles from Disney! Cigarette butts all over the grounds with pot holes on the parking lot. The room was clean. But older furniture. Not a 3 star, 2.5 star. It makes a difference now a days. Thank goodness this was only for the one extra night. They need a remodel. Old tv and hard to find ice machine. I should be thankful it could have been worst. The lady two doors down had no electric in her room at all. Took a couple of hours for maintenance to show up. Then they pitch about the shuttle service to the parks. Only two shuttles in the morning and two in the evening for return. This was not convenient or realistic times. It was another disappointment. So we just drove and payed the parking fee.
