Great pool complex
Posted Jan 12, 2013
Pros: Pool.
Cons: Parking
Location: 1/2 mile from Sea World
Hotel pool is spectacular. Convenient location to Sea World. This is a Marriott time share property, and the room and property as a whole felt like an apartment complex, not a hotel. Parking was not good, don't expect to park anywhere near your room.

Bring your own towels.
Posted Jan 2, 2013
When we arrived the room was clean and in decent order till I went to the bath room. There is 5 towel bars in the bathroom and no towels to be found. I looked and looked and finally found 2 towels and a wash cloth under the sink. When I called down I was told that thats how they do it. Then they asked what I wanted! After they brought towels it was time for the kids to go to bed. We pulled out the razor thin mattress of the pull out couch and tried to make the bed. We go get the sheets only to find the only thing thinner than the mattress is the mattress pad! Oh and it was the wrong size. After that delivery from the staff we decided not to have the room cleaned the next day. On the third day I convinced my wife to "just let them clean and replace the towels". We came back after a long day in the park needing a shower before dinner only to find no towels! So like an idiot I called the front desk and again I was asked how they could help me after I told them the problem. I was also informed that they charge $30.00 per day for the room service whether you use it or not. Not cool. To their credit the refunded the $30.00 for the day we didn't use it but come on! The pools are nice and plenty for the kids to do. The staff was nice and the grounds well maintained. I would not stay again but over all the room was decent for the price we paid.

Excellent hotel for families
Posted Jan 26, 2013
Pros: The water slide and pirate ship pool area.
Location: It is very close to Sea World.
This is an excellent hotel for families. Whatever activity you would like to do with your kids, you can. There was and arcade, ping pong, soccer, mini golf, water slides, a large splash pad, hot tub, and much more. Our 2 and 4 year old boys had a great time! We appreciated the suites so the kids could go to bed without being disturbed by the adults. The proximity to Sea world is also great.

Nice hotel but be prepared to be hounded.....
Posted Jan 3, 2013
Cons: Do away with the "courtsey" calls...and don't bait your customers!
We were so excited to book our room with Marriott's Harbour Lake. The ammenities seemed to be outstanding according to their website: miniature golf, 2 swimming areas, daily activities. Once we arrived we were disappointed that the miniature golf was not included but it wasn't a deal breaker for us. As soon as we checked in though, we were IMMEDIATELY hounded to sit in on their time-share spiel. We were tempted but given our tight itinerary we said that we were not interested at that time. We then proceeded to check into our room. It was very spacious and overall it was pretty clean. The shower didn't drain very well but if you were quick it wasn't too much of a problem. That night it had rained and water leaked in from the room and drenched some of our clothes that had been laid out for the next day...again, not that big of a deal since we had packed more than what was really needed. We had planned to sleep in that following morning but at 8:50am we recieved a "courtsey" call which conveniently lead in to yet ANOTHER time-share bit. We went ahead and listened in since we were up anyway and we were told that if we were to listen to the time-share that we would receive $150 in "Disney Bucks". So, given the benefit, we continued on. We were pretty excited about having some play money but once they found out our annual income said that we did not qualify. Needless to say we were pretty bummed...

"great for kids and short communte to Disney"
Posted Jan 4, 2013
Pros: pools/water activities for kids
Cons: food options
Location: 5-10 min commute to all Disney parks
We have already said that we will go back on our next vacation to Disney! We loved all the conveniences of the full kitchen and washer/dryer. There are two separate pool areas with TONS of water equipment for kids #two toddler pools, splash pads, water animals, at least 3 slides, big pirate plat ship, etc.#... so plenty to do for kids!

Gorgeous old Key West style resort.

We were very pleased with our hotel. The furniture was very comfortable, and reminded us of being in the Keys. The pools were top notch, especially for kids. We really enjoyed having a mini golf course right on the grounds.

Miserable hotel restaurant
Posted Jan 25, 2013
Nothing cosy about this place - a hotel-factory, Only one "restaurant" at the location, more a supplier of junk food and un-interesting breakfast than a real restaurant. Nobody ate there and nobody hung out at the bar - all for good reasons. Not worth the money or time
