Not helpful!!!

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Hotel was nice initially. However, they were always out of something. Dinner was annoying. Most expensive, steak, was out for two days because it was never ordered. They were out of mint leaves for mojitos. Finally, my swimsuit was stolen from our room and management made no attempt to even apologize. They were actually rude to us.

Great location for Disney

Me and my family had an amazing time at the Melia. We were upset to leave but I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Staff made us feel very comfortable and my room was cleaned to perfection everyday. Felt like a vacation. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!

Beautiful resort-like atmosphere

Posted Jul 17, 2014
My fiancé and I stayed 7 nights in July. The staff at the front desk allowed us to check in early and were very welcoming and pleasant. We stayed in a one room suite and had an amazing view of Magic Kingdom and Epcot fireworks every night. Our suite was clean and comfortable. We had a well-equipped kitchenette. We had to bring a lamp from our bedroom to the living room because the overhead lights were too bright and don't make for a nice atmosphere. Our suite was cleaned daily (bed made, dishes washed, garbage changed, water stocked and toiletries refilled). The best part of our stay was the pool area. It was absolutely beautiful! It was clean and not overcrowded. We always brought our drinks down from our room, but there was also poolside bar service if needed. Our vacation was nice and relaxing and we will definitely stay again.

Melia needs overhaul

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: It was affordable and a place to lay my head at night.
The service at the hotel was pleasant from the staff and friendly but the hotel needs an over haul of rooms, services, and amenities. It was very evident the suite needed a thorough cleaning;there were hairs present in the bathroom when we first arrived, the appliances in the kitchenette were dirty, and the floors were filthy. The cleaning of our suite diminished during the week as trash was left in the room and a garbage bag left on our door as if we were supposed to cleaning it up ourselves. Also, dirty wash clothes were left in the bathtub for several days and sheets for the sofa bed were taken from our room and it took over an hour almost to get more right before bedtime. The services provided to guest such as WIFI which was slow and unavailable because it was down and TV that had reception problems the whole time we were there seriously need major improvements. I don't like that you don't have a workout facility on the hotel grounds, that breakfast is not continental and free, and your restaurant needs more a more friendlier menu options that appeal to everyone instead of been limited and taste specific. A complete over haul of your hotel is necessary if you want to keep people happy and keep tourist coming back. Also, you need to update your website because it has information on it that's not true. It states that you are 1.8 miles from Disney but when you go online to get directions from Disney from your hotel it is 3.4 miles. Hope this helps improve your hotel.

Luxury at an affordable price

Posted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: Clean, relaxing, plenty of room, great kitchen amenities, pool is fantastic, location very nice
Cons: Hotel staff could be more engaged in the customer when in the lobby entering and exiting
Location: transportation was provided to the major attractions and return, that was a great benefit
Top notch place to stay, highly recommend it for those who prefer luxury and comfort

Free shuttle schedule for the theme parks is scarc

Concierge messed up with my theme park tickets, could not find them, I had to pay that day again. But at the end they took care of me and refunded the money.
